Gallbladder/internal hernia

Hi there, I have never posted here before. Just wondering if anyone else has been thru this. I started having a pain in my stomach right under my breast bone. This happens maybe once a month for the past 5 months. It is very severe when it happens. I do have my gallbladder and have known I have stones for years but they never have bothered me. This last time when I had the pain I also had extreme diarraha. I called my surgeon and she scheduled me for surgery Sept 10th. She plans on removing my gallbladder and looking for the internal hernia, which I guess is basically twisted intestines. If anyone out there knows what I should expect it would be nice to hear from you. Have a great holiday weekend Lynn
