Dehydration and Ringing/Thumping in right ear

I had RNY on 5/22/07 and had high bp (topping 212/170).  My PCP has me on Norvasc and Topriol (sp) hoping to stablize my bp. I did some web surfing and found that the ringing in the ear is a symptom of malnutrition.   Also yesterday my gyn said my urinalysis shows dehydration.  My intake of water and fluids exceeds 64oz a day.  I know I could do better but that has been a milestone for me . Has anyone else experienced the ear issue? Thanks, Annette

I too hear my heartbeat in my ear. I have heard this is weight loss surgery related.  Does anyone else hear their heartbeat? No I do not have high blood pressure either. Teresa

Sometimes my ears plug up and ache.  This usually happens when my blood sugar slips or I'm experiencing ketosis.  But lately I've been actually getting a lot of clogging and pain in my ears and whatnot.

Surgery results may vary, see dealer for details

Hi Robin-

What were your adhesion symptoms? I have been having a crampy abdomen, quite sharp at times. I have also had the ear thumping thig going on in my right ear. It is faster than my heart rate. I sometimes have the ear ache things like you said, where it feels like I slept on it bent in half, but I didn't. I run about 12 miles a week, so I could possibly be dehydrated. Can you help me at all?

Hi, Well when he went in there and operated he found that I had a longer colon than usual, I was born with it, there is a medical word for it, but not sure. The adhesions just like you said were crampy feeling. Do you still have a gallbladder? Mine left yrs before surgery. My friend was just hospitalized, and we were thinking it was that ( she is a wls patient) Do your calves bother you, that Is a sign of dehydration. I wish that I could answer more for you. Best wishes Robin
