Stomach Pain

I am 6 yrs post op from a rny gastric bypass and for the last 3 or 4 years sometimes after I eat I get a horrible cramping, and burning. I have learned over the years that burping and vomiting can ease the pain somewhat. Mostly I have to lay down and relax until it lets up, in about an hour. This is rare about 1 time a month. But was really bad on Saturday, and every day since I have felt tender and a little sore. I have taken gasx since I figure  the burping could mean that was the problem. I am planning calling my family doctor, but I was wondering has anybody else experienced anything similar so I may have some direction to point him.

For the last THREE OR FOUR YEARS???????????? When I had similiar symptoms, I had an internal hernia. You need to see your WLS ASAP! Read my profile for more information!!!!!!!  Don't delay!  An internal hernia can be fatal. Also, do you have your gallbladder?  That could be the problem too! You need to see your WLS -- PCPs just seem to push us off!   Internal hernias and some of the special conditions we seem to get after RNY can't always be detected through routine tests such as bloodwork, Xrays, CT Scan, etc., etc.  Mine have all been found through exploratory surgery. Get proactive regarding your health, please, before it's too late! Yes, I DO mean to scare you into action.  We'd hate to lose you! It may be something simple but it may not!  And, yes, you can have complications this late out! And, when is the last time you had a full set of labs run to check all your vitamins? If you need a list of labs recommened for bariatric patients, PM me and I'll send them to you! YIKES!

I have two sides to my brain - a right side and a left side.  The trouble is sometimes there is nothing left in the right side and nothing right in the left side.

Meliisa, How are you doing?  Have you been able to see a doctor? I'm concerned about you.  Please let me know what has happened since our last contact.
