Anyone...      I am 1 month post RUY revision. My first 10 days were uneventful but then I believe I developed a lactose intolerance so I switched to lactose free milk. I eat then I have diahrrea..its horrible..I called my surgeon who is out of town and it was reccommended that I take Imodium. Well I take it everyday 2-3 tabs and if I let it wear off I get diahrrea again..I see the doctor in 2 days and have lots of questions but has anyone else had this problem?..Thanks for your response..Linda

Well -- what are you eating?  Some sugar alcohols can cause loose stool. Are you bulking things up with FIBER? Please SEE your doctor. If you're running right through, I wonder if you are getting ANY nutrients AT ALL!

I have two sides to my brain - a right side and a left side.  The trouble is sometimes there is nothing left in the right side and nothing right in the left side.

I became Lactose intollerant as well.  I then had a colonoscopy and was told that I developed Ulcerative Colitis deasease, which is awful.  I wish you the best and hope you don't get what I got.

I've suffered with abdominal disease since the age of 15. I have Ulcerative Colitis -- I just have periods of remission.   I've had a host of diseases abdominally -- divertiticulitis, parasties that nearly killed me( three times -- three different types -- all bizarre, unusual, and possibly fatal, SBBO (small bowel bacterial overgrowth) which has a few times caused kidney infections which required 1+ week in the hospital, adhesions, bowel obstructions, and others I'm sure I can't recall right now since it has been 24 years now of this. I feel your pain.  I take Asacol with I have a UC flare up.  It is DA BOMB!!!!!!!!   What are you taking for it and are you feeling better now?  I'd love to hear from you!  And, I'll help any way that I can as well!
