feels like something is stuck in my throat

hi everyone. I have never posted on this board but hopefully you all will be able to help me. I had lap-rny on july 16th. about a week ago. I also had a hiatal  hernia. which the surgeon fixed. but I have this feeling like something is stuck in my throat. I mostly feel it at night and it makes it hard for me to sleep. I go back to my doc on the 31st but any insight as to what it could be ? sometimes it feels as though my throat is closing and it has a burning feeling.   thanks,     amy

Maybe reflux???.....There are medications to help with this if it is. I had something similar when first post-op, Dr gave me meds.

I had the exact same thing, though I had the DS and not the RNY, but your symptoms are exactly the same.  While waiting for a doctor appt, I took my husbands Nexium. In three days it was totally gone.
