lower left belly pain

Hi, I was hoping someone might offer some insight. I am two weeks out of lap rny. For the past several nights when i lay down i get a burning sensation in the lower left part of my belly. it is below my belt line and a good distance from the belly button. it is hard to decribe - not stabbing pain, but an intense burning. it is very uncomfortable. in the morning it does not hurt at all. i continue to be fine all day and then when i lay down it burns again. the burning seems to be better if i lay on my back insteard of my sides. i have an appt with surgeon on tues but in the meantime wondered if anyone had any ideas.

I HAD SOMETHING SIMILAR..AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE  A HERNIA..NOT TO SCARE YOU OR ANYTHING, BUT YOU REALLY NEED TO HAVE UR DR CHECK U OUT. TAKE CARE OF URSELF AND FOLLOW THE DR'S ORDERS TO THE LETTER.......

Same in my case.  I had an upper GI last week that confirmed this...I meet with the surgeon on April 12.
