I JUST DON'T KNOW ANY MORE

I WILL SOON BE 20 MONTHS OUT. I AM STILL SICK!! I THROW UP EVERY THING. AND IF I DON'T THROW UP I FEEL LIKE I AM GOING TO. I HAVE DUMPING VERY BAD. I HAD IT BEFORE I HAD THE GBS DONE. NOW MY B/P IS TO LOW. 69/48. I PASS OUT ALL THE TIME. I STAY SO WEAK. STAY IN A VERY BAD MOOD. FEEL LIKE I AM GETTING MEAN!!!!!!! MY WEIGHT STAYS BETWEEN 95-98 LBS. IF I START TO GAIN A LITTLE AND GET ALL EXCITED. I GET FREAKING SICK AND LOOSE. IT IS A DARN IF I DO AND DARN IF I DON'T THING. I WANT TO FEEL GOOD. I KNOW I AM TO SKINNY. I KNOW PEOPLE MAKE FUN OF ME. I GET TOLD EVERY DAY HOW SICK I LOOK..........WELL YEAH!!!! I AM INTO A SIZE CHILDRENS 10 PANTS AND SMALL SHIRT IN CHILDRENS. I LOOK LIKE A WALKING STICK. I WENT TO TO BIG TO, TO LITTLE. I HAVE 3 DOCTORS. WHEN I GET SICK ONE TELLS ME TO GO TO THE OTHER ONE. AND NOTHING GETS DONE. I AM SORRY I JUST NEEDED TO GET THIS OFF MY MIND..........PLEASE PRAY FOR ME. AND GOD BLESS ALL AND HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH EVERY ONE. If you can drink ok, you need to drink liquid Boost, made for diabetics which will help you not dump. You need to drink this 4-5 times a day, and then eat whatever you are able. If you can't gain any weight, or at least feel better, ask for a feeding tube. You have to get some nutrition and be willing to do whatever it takes. Good luck Amy.

They tried boost and the glucerna (don't know how to spell it) couldn't hold down any of them. I don't do anything that is milk based... I can eat the bars that are low in sugar. But not enough to do anything. The only thing that works is to go into the hospital and get TPN fluids for 8 days. And in the 8 days I only gained like 3 lbs. The doctor wants to undo my gbs. But I had all these problems before I even had it done...... I am just scared I am going to get fired from my job. I am single with 2 kids. I am out of work about 5 to 6 times a month...........I really just don't know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST STUCK amy

Hi Amy,  You can have TPN at home, you just get a machine to hook up the drips too and they put aPICC line in your arm.  This is what happened with me I when I was down to 88 pounds.  I have had many complications and a long long story.  Blah. Amy, Have they said why you are like this?  I was good at one year, then at 13 months I had an enlarged bile duct, and they had to do a lap ERCP, and that was dangerous, but they cut open the bile duct (no gallbladder) and then in December I had my lower body lift.  I was on pain meds for about 3 weeks, and now I am sick all the time.  I am not losing anymore like you, I am sticking around 140ish 144lbs.  I am nauseated all the time, I don't throw up, but I could.  I feel so nauseated and have lots of abdominal pain.  The doctors are all fighting with each other over what this is and now I am going to have an EGD just to make sure its not an ulcer. I do supplement with Protica, and that has lots of protein, 25gms with only 3 oz.  I also just bought some new Xango juice, that is supposed to have lots of immunity boosting properties and take away nausea and pain and to support GI tracts.  We will see.  I had to sign up to sell it when I ordered my first case, so we shall see. :) I hope you feel better, yeah, you don't want to get to the point where you have to have the RNY reversed, you would start to gain weight if you did, but when would the weight gain stop?  I am praying for you.  This just sucks to be hurting and nauseated all the time.  I have had to give up so many jobs/roles for movies and tv, because some days I am either sick or nauseated.  I am in California and I am an actress. I go to another doctor on thursday of next week. I am not leaving his office until they tell me what is wrong. Or call the cops and have me removed. I am going to wright down a list of all that is wrong with me and give to him. I called the blue cross blue shield nurse yesterday and she said I really needed something done now. I told her I was trying so hard. I want some help. I am screaming for help. I live in such a little town you would think I was the only one in albemarle that has ever had gbs done. I hate to be mean but this is enough. I am just so weak. If I don't throw up I am so nauseated I can't stand it. I get all hot. Can't breath. my heart races. I get lots of extra spit in my mouth. My head hurts. My whold body hurts. It hurts to even get up and walk. I just have to throw myself up. I have been scoped and scoped and all kinds of mri's.... up my butt down the throat. And still nobody can't find anything. I hurt up high. between my little teeny boobies. It is like a stabbing that goes throught to my back and around my kidney. Next thursday will be my day.......... I am going to let them have it. This just has went on to long. So scared I will loose my job. I have worked for the health department here for 15 years now. Seems like they would treat me a little better. I have been here alot longer than almost anyone. And to get treated like crap is so wrong. Hope you get better soon too. You are one beautiful woman. Amy, I am telling you, you need to get to an ER now.  I had to go through the ER to get my surgery last time, and when they got there, it was only a matter of time, probably hours, not days, before my bile duct would have ruptured.  You don't want that. You can get pancreatitis and/or sepsis, and die. I don't want to scare you, but don't you dare stay where you are.  You need to get to somewhere where they have a bile duct specialist, like a university teaching hospital.  I am sort of going through what you are now, with my doctor, and my surgeon thinking because he is so good, there is no way it could be clogged again. Please, please, please don't hang out and wait, because its really dangerous, especially with your liver enzymes so high.  Take care, and thanks so much for the compliments, I don't feel so beautiful right now!!! Have you seen an endocrinologist and rule out hypoglycemia.  I am not a doctor, but I have read that a lot of people have this problem after surgery.  I also can not take milky protein shakes very much, only once in a while because they make me sick too.  Try bettermd.net they have really good products.  Their juice actually tastes like juice and they are for WLS patients.  You have to register, but don't have to pay.  It may take a little time to register, but do it and you can even call their number after reviewing their products.  I would suggest a variety pack for 10.95 and my favourite juice is the mixed berry.  Ps if your liver enzymes are high you could have a fatty liver, which is also taken care of by an endocrinologist. My prayers are with you.

I can pretty much guarantee its not hypoglycemia because of her liver enzyme results, and mine too.  The ERCP lap assisted is what you need to have done and that will cure it.  Since you no longer have a gallbladder, the sphincter of Oddi is restricted, meaning you have a stricture. PS The alkaline phosphotase is what will show the common bile duct problem, and also an easy MRCP will as well. :) Deb
