lap rny Dec 7th w complications
Well its been a touch road. I just hope its almost over. Im 25 years old and had Lap RNY on december 7th. Came home from the hospital December 11th and was in alot of pain. WEnt back to the hospital the next day and had to have emergency surgery. I had a leak at the top of my stomach with an abscess behind it. It was so horrible. I had tubes coming from my nose and was in pain for a week. I got pneumona also. After a week I started to feel a little better and the doctor wanted to take out my drains but realized I was still leaking slightly. Today I came home. All the tests show that im not leaking but The doctor left my drains in just in case. I burp about 30 times an hour after I drink. Its so tough.
I am so sorry things have gone wrong with your surgery. Hopefully you will heal and be able to put the problems behind you and feel good about losing some weight. I know that as long as you're having drains and unsure about your actual condition you can't focus on the positive! Just remember that everything changes, nothing remains the same whi*****ludes ill health and complications from surgery. You'll get well, feel better and begin to do the things you had this surgery for in the first place. I't got to be hard waiting for time to help your situation, but it will. Try to think of the future and how you'll feel in a few weeks.
