Surgery update on me........
Hello everyone! I had to have my pre-op and consents all done this morning prior to the surgery. It's been a long day. It hurts!
Diagnosis: Adhesion/scar tissue had wrapped itself around my colon causing partial bowel obstruction (not sure if it was only in one place or more as the CT Scan had shown three suspicious areas). Dr. Lavin also did another endoscope while I was under anesthesia. I have no specific information on that yet so I'll assume no report is a good report! Anyway, the good news is that I didn't need a section removed and reattached which would have been a much more difficult surgery and required 2-3 days inpatient.
Prognosis: Very good.
Thank you all for everything! Please do not take offense to my copy and paste or duplicate messages. I have nodded off here 5 or more times sitting straight up with the computer on my lap and it has now taken me nearly 2 hours to compose this so I don't I'll make it through individual posts/e-mails!
Best,
Vanessa

Hi,
I am very happy to hear they found something. Good thing they didnt have to remove intestine. So they just took out adhesions then? Are you feeling any better now?
TRUST ME I know how frustrating it can be when you NOW something is wrong and they can't find anything then they start with the theory of "it's in your head". Blah!!
Get your rest and keep me updated!! Take care.
Thank you! Yes, I posted a Saturday (today) update. The scar tissue was wrapping around my bowel so that it was being strangled and smaller there causing difficulty with eating, drinking, etc. This is what I heard from a third hand person so I'll know more specifics on Monday. At least we know there was a cause for my pain and difficulties, it was located, and repaired. Now, if this could just be my final health hurdle/complication....that would be wonderful!
