Blood transfusion

Hi everyone. i am having surgery on Nov. 1st.. My blood test results say that my INR is abnormal and that i will be needing a blood transfusion ... .. have any of you had a blood transfusion before surgery?? and if you had to, would you? or would you cancel because there might be a higher risk for you having surgery? thank you for the help and God bless.
