I have been having a lot of pain in my stomach area. The doc at the ER told me it was possibly my gallbladder...did gallbladder u/s and NOTHING came back. I am 30 weeks pregnant and the pain is horrible. They put me on prevacid and pepcid doesn't help a thing! Do you guys know anything about a hernia and where it hurts etc? Any site that I can get info from?
Thanks
Wendy
Wendy,
Congratulations on your pregnancy!!!!!!
Check my profile for information regarding internal hernias and adhesions.
I have a history of adhesions. When I was pregnent for my last baby, I was in abdominal pain. I had a colonoscopy (as I have a history of colon disease) and everything was perfect. My OB said, "Well, we're not doing anything about adhesions while you're pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!" That said, I had to shift myself and the baby around for relief. As things moved because the baby grew, it worked itself out.
That said, there is information and links on my profile for hernias. I'd image that as long as your bowel is not dying (which could be life threatening), they're going to treat your symptoms until the baby is born and you have some time to recover after the birth.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
Best,
Vanessa
i went over four years and three test and the results always came back that my gallbladder was ok. the symptoms were however from my gallbladder. it was finally stated as a clinacal gallbladder disease and after four years it was removed and was indeed in very bad condition,it had calcified or something.
