This is the time to take proactive charge of health. I say this because what you are having is more common amoung GB patients. Why?Because we are usually malnourished most of time. This is why you need to take a look at what you are eating, how many calories and most importantly when. I'm a firm believer in the 5 to 6 small meals a day. It regulates your blood sugar, keeps our metabolism going and keeps us nourished. Some surgeon's only put you on 3 meals a day but by the time you get a year or more out, it doesn't work anymore. Here are some things that could be going on with you Vitamin deficiency: B-12 is a serious one, we cannot absorb B-12 through our food anymore. I Take liquid B-12 Complex twice a dat. Iron Deficiency Selinium Potassium-This is one you should get checked every year. But all in all, it's sounds like you not getting enough to eat calorie wise, your body is revolting against you. Try the 5-6 small protein packed meals a day. If you eat any carbs, eat them in moning. I hope the docs can help you, but try to log you food intake in diary and see if your getting enough. Jane

Vickie, I'm not sure how far out you are...But I had similar symptoms for about 6 months after my procedure.... It seemed to be blood sugar related...I walked around with a blood sugar monitor because I felt weak, dizzy and like I was going to pass out all the time.. many people after WLS have slower heart rates and orthostatic low blood pressure. Our bodies are just trying to reach a balance and this takes some time. Keep in youch with your docs....One of the things that worked for me was that when that light headed feeling would come on, I would drink a few ounces of skim milk....This would give me a little protein, and enough milk sugar to raise my blood. sugar slowly and without any feelings of dumping.... I am three years out, and sometimes that light headed feeling comes along, and the milk trick usually works.... take good care, Kelly

When was the last time you have have your blood tested?   I have alot of your symptoms except needles and pins in my hands and feet, and running down my legs not my head just a consistant headache.  yesturday for the first time in 3yrs my blood pressure was 130/84 usually 98/64  I am severly anemic with a B-12 deficiency I am 3 years out and have followed all the rules with vitimins with sublingal b-12 and eat high fortified iron foods but we sometimes forget our absorbtion isn't normal.  I went back to my liquid form of multi-vitimin and began iron shots for 18 weeks and monthly b-12 shots for the rest of my life.    Don't know if this helps since I just started this treatment myself, but the feeling weak and dizzy with passing out is a sure sign of low iron anemia.  I had a wakeup call the other day when i almost past out while driving, but the nausia woke me up.   Jennie 7/28/2004 308/152 I am half the person I use to be :)
