Good Morning Karen,
Sorry, I am a day behind in posting these days.

My weekend is appointments, AA meeting, finishing two sewing projects, and church.  We are having a potluck on Sunday after worship.  Following the potluck is a church business meeting.  Not sure about attending because I really want to finish the sewing projects before I start working on Monday.  My daughter and the kids are coming to town next week, near the end of the week, and she is going to have a double birthday party for both the Munchkins while she is in town.  I have compleed two sundresses for my granddaughter, and a pair of coverall shorts for my grandson so far.  I also want to get more fabric to make more coveralls for Lincoln.  I have posted pics of my projects on Facebook, if you are on there Friend me.  My full name is Patricia Anne Reilly.  I have a lot of OH friends on there.

Better get moving.

Hugs,
Trish

We had 100 degree heat today, followed by a wicked thunderstorm this evening.  It is supposed to cool down to 90 tomorrow.  My air conditioner is barely making a dent in this heat today.

I would appreciate prayer for my ear.  It has hurt for the past week, or so.  I was put on Augmentin a week ago, and called the doctor today, because it hurt more.  So, I am now on Bactrim.  When my allergies flare up, I get fluid in there, and can't drain it.  I was supposed to see my ENT for my chronic sinus stuff two weeks ago, but forgot to renew my referral for him.  He is so popular, the next available appointment is July 12th.  Argh.

Stay cool.

Ahh another gorgeous day, hubby's out mowing our 2 acres, he also mows the neighbors 2 acres and his moms fields (she lives on a farm). So that's pretty much how he spends his summers, goes from  one lawn to the next. Weekend is around the corner any fun plans out there? God bless! Karen

Thanks for praying Karen.  Sean says he feels fine.  He also said tha the plastic surgeon in charge of his case is the best around.

I plan to make another meeting this morning.  I woke up with a killer headache.  I have to walk Utley and get there.  Today is a speaker meeting.  I love those.  Someone shares their story of how they drank, how they came to AA, and how life is better as a result of working the 12 steps.  I alwasy find something I can relate to, and benefit so much from it.  We have literature meetings, where we read some AA literature, and then share on it, but speaker meetings are my favorite.

Better get moving.

Hugs,
Trish

Glad son is doing better I bet it is still pretty sore. I've been complaining because we haven't really had much summer yet but after the last ouple of days I quit. It's been so muggy and that always makes my lungs clog up so I guess back to clouds and drizzle, I'd love a nice clear sky but only low 70's then I'd be perfectly happy! Hope you can get the dryer fixed that always causes such a hassle. I'm so glad you made your meeting, I know it always helps you! Keeping you in my prayers!

Sorry I was not on yesterday, Karen.  I barely checked Facebook yesterday.  I spent a few hours trying to sew snaps on this sewing project for my grandson, only to find out I had sewn one in upside down, so I have to rip that one out and do it right tonight.

Turns out, the cyst my son had was on his chin.  I misunderstood originally.  It turns out it was a staph infection, so he is on clindamycin for it.  He was discharged from the hospital this afternoon.  I am praying he had a chance to think about his relationship with God while he was in there.  He walked away from the Lord years ago.

I did get to my AA meeting this morning, and I am so grateful I did.  At the end of the meeting, a woman shared how she can't stay sober.  Some days she just drinks.  I remember that so much during my relapse.  I would get a few weeks sober, and then just up and drink for a week or so.  I am so grateful that the desire to drink is gone.

Please pray my landlord is able to fix my dryer.  My landlady is kind enough to let me take my laundry down to her dryer later on this evening, but I really like having my dryer work.  I washed a towel and my capris that are denim, which take forever to dry on a good day.

We are having a killer heat wave, which I will take anyday.  Like a wise man once said, "You don't have to shovel Hot."  I dread my electric bill later, but right now, I am just concerned for people like my mother, *****fuses to turn on her air conditioner.  It was supposed to reach 97 degrees here today.  As of 6:00 it was 95 at the baseball park in Philadelphia.

Hugs,
Trish

great to connect with you if only by e-mail!  I went through Lutheran Via De Cristo a few years ago and have served on a Palanca team. Many people from my neighborhood church congregation have gone through this too. I had my weight loss surgery (gastric sleeve) yesterday, so am still at the University of Minnesota hospital till Friday.  So, did you become a UMC pastor?  I go to the closest church of any kind to my home, which is a mid-sized ELCA Lutheran church with a fabulous senior pastor.  He was here yesterday praying with me before surgery, and then stopped in again this morning, though the hospital I chose is about 15 miles from our homes and Tuesday was his day off.

are you a second career pastor?

Oh your poor son, that has to be miserable! Keep trying to get up and out, depression is so hard to fight. Do try hard to get to those meetings, we don't want you to relapse and you know how important the meetings are to keep you on track. It might even help the depression to get to the meetings. God bless sweetie you'll make it!
