We often share good books, movies or articles with friends and family, but do we share the most important book, the Bible? We don't even have to share an exact scripture but merely an action and then explain why we do it. Or do a kind deed and when thanked say well that's what the Bible tells me to do. A small opening like that can lead to a wonderful discussion. Even if it doesn't it may give the other person something to think about. We can make a huge impact with just a quick scripture, tho I find the older I get the harder it is to remember them! So share the Word with someone today!
God bless!

Topic: I'm back, I'm gone, I'm back!
Sorry gang got so busy yesterday I didn't even have time to get on the computer. So today I'm talking about mindless prayer, how often do we go thru our little daily prayer and call it done? How often do we ask God to be with us, yet He has told us over and over again He will never leave us or forsake us. We need to put thought into our prayer whether it be daily or weekly or every other minute. We should start by thanking God for all He has already done for us, even the things we aren't aware of. We also need to ask for Him to show us what He wants us to do, not just what we want done. Too often we confuse God with Santa Claus and a wish list. Sure it's fine to ask for things, there just needs to be more to the prayer than a long wish list. Remember God already knows what we want and need, prayer is more for our discipline and to glorify God than reciting a wish list.
God bless!

I took a little break since it seemed no one was out there but God has put it on my heart to keep at it. After all it is our job to put the word out there and His to bring results. Sometimes I forget my role and try to do His.
So today is about doing good. Well that's easy we all say, doing good is what we all do as Christians. But wait are you like myself I do good to those it's easy to do good to like nice people, clean people, easy to get along with people? OK I admit this is a really hard one for me! There are some people I just don't want to have anything to do with. However God doesn't say be good to just the nice people He says be good to all people and to bless our enemies. I have a reaaaallly hard time with that one, I want to hurt my enemies, but that's not what our Lord and Savior wants from us. So let's try to do something nice for at least one person every day and especially for our enemies even if it is only to pray for them.
God bless!

Thanks Laura and good to see a new face, hope you join us often! I plan to start on Mon. again with a dailyy message so hope you'll pop in and share with us. My PCP said my toes are too far gone for a podiatrist and only a surgeon can fix them and even the surgeon said I may have to have continued surgeries because for some reason my soft tissue doesn't spring back like it should and my toes kinda "migrate" over time. Oh lucky me! On the good side it get's me a 6 week vacation in bed with lots of time to work on my craft projects! Even better hubby cooks and cleans for me. Actually he does most of the cleaning now since it's so hard for me to get around, let me tell you I'm so thankful for God blessing me with this great man. Well guess I should stop rambling and get on with things.

You are correct...depending on the procedure we usually have people hold their Coumadin for 3-7 days and stay on the Lovenox until their INR is therepeutic (usually 2.0-3.0).
It is so good to have this sight.  Hugs to all of you!

Trish, I am so sorry to hear about your recent health problems.  I am very familiar with Lovenox and Warfarin...I am a Coumadin Nurse.  I really hate that happened to you and am praying for a total recovery for you.
Your friend is lucky to have a friend like you, but hopefully, with prayers from all of us, she will be able to turn to the one person who can fulfill all of her needs...our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  There is not one person on earth who can be everything for everybody, but Jesus can.
Hope you are feeling better!  Hugs, Jeanne

Have you seen a podiatrist? (I worked for one for years, hate to see people with foot/toe problems not see a specialist!) :)

Normally I take the Lovenox for four days prior to the procedure, and then 4-5 days after it.  This was different because of the procedure.  My hematologist gave me different instructions than usual.

I am glad I am back.

Please pray for a friend named, Maria.  She is going through a really bad marriage, and has a really serious drug and alcohol problem.  She can be extremely needy, and calls me at all hours for help.  I screen my calls, and don't take calls after I have gone to bed, except from family.  She has called me two nights in a row after I have gone to bed.  I have to go to work tomorrow, and I go to bed early on nights I have to get up for work.

I was sugar free for four days there, but succumbed today.

Hugs,
Trish
