I am 53 years old and got saved when I turned 50. I went to church briefly to an Assembly of God church when I was a kid. I got saved young, but I don't think I was really saved.

I lived life believing in God, knowing that I would go to hell had I died during those years, but it took me a LONG time to make the choice that I needed to come back to God.

I lived a very secular lifestyle and I've done a lot of things I'm not proud of. We have all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. I sure have!

Jesus is my Lord and Saviour and without Him, I'd be nothing. His mercy and grace and forgiveness keep me going.

Do YOU know Jesus? Remember, it's not about a religion, it's about a relationship with Jesus.

Well it's just one thing after another these days. Saw my doc today because my feet feel like they are on fire and he said it appears to be neuropathy so drew a bucket of blood for testing and setting me up to see a neurologist. Also have a growth of some kind on my thyroid that needs biopsied because it is getting bigger. Still having issues with my lungs AND have foot surgery scheduled for the 1st of Sept. It's gonna be a long end of the year. Pray for strength for me for all these issues. Thanks much!

Hi Karen,
I got the blood work done today.  It takes 3-5 business days to get to the doctor.  Hopefully, I will hear something at the beginning of the week.

I also forgot to ask for prayer for my right foot.  It feels like it did when I broke it.  Fortunately, I had to get x-rays done last week for my next hammertoe surgery, so I dropped the films off at the doctor's and I have an appointment with him in the morning.  I have been icing it, and resting it as much as possible.

I will pray for you as well.

Needless to say, this lack of energy has me depressed.  I had to cancel my appointment with my therapist this evening.  It is set for 11:00 on Saturday, if I can drive.  My right foot is my driving foot.

Hugs,
Trish

How many 2 AM friends do you have? You know the ones you can call any time of day or night and they are on their way before you even hangup the phone. I have a few but I think most are family members, although I'm sure there are many at my church who would. Even more important is are YOU a 2 AM friend? Will you drop everything and run to the aid of a friend? Let's all try to be 2 AM friends with those we love.
God bless!

Sure will! Maybe it's something in the air cause I've been beat lately too or maybe the fibro it can cause some kick but fatigue too. Whatever it is it needs to leave us both alone! I have so many things I want to do but just no energy to do it. Poor doggie I started grooming her last night so now she has 1/2 short hair and 1/2 longer hair, good thing she doesn't have to face any neighbor dogs! Hope we both feel better soon!

Hi Karen,
I could use prayer.  My energy level is totally gone.  I am going to call my hematologist tomorrow about getting my quarterly bloodwork done tomorrow.  I think my iron level is gone.  I had to have iron infusions last year.  Five of them.  I am so depressed right now.  I am in bed early every night, and I cancel all appointments for the evening.  Work totally wipes me out.

I thought my B12 shot would do the trick, but I got that yesterday, and it makes no difference.

I am also due for my annual post-op visit, and I keep postponing it because I am not eating properly.

Hugs,
Trish

Many times when we ask Jesus for something in prayer He will tells us to go ahead and take care of it. Then we promptly whine about not knowing how or what to do. When Jesus asks us to step up we need to be able to put our trust and faith in Him that He already has the situation solved. He is merely waiting for us to man up and do our part. We are God's instruments and need to be tuned and ready for service.

Happy Monday all, welcome to a new week! Do you ever take time to enjoy the beauty around you? I'm fortunate enough to live out in the country in the beautiful Pacific Northwest so I have more beauty than I deserve. God has created an awesomely beautiful planet for us to live on. Even in the crowded, noisy cities there are things to find if you look close enough. This week remember the phrase "stop to smell the roses" so you can enjoy the wonder of God's creation!
God bless!

We renovate old buildings, restore historic relics and repurpose used articles into something new and beautiful. What an awesome recycling job God does on us when we accept Him as our savior! He makes the sin full sin less, He changes the whole course of our life and turns us into shiny new humans! He can turn the worst of us into the best and there is no challenge too big for Him! So open your heart and be recycled by the very best, God! Have a great weekend!
God bless!

Hi Karen,
I was sick with a sinus infection earlier this week, so I understand how the crud can make you feel somedays.  I cancelled my therapy appointment this week because of how lousy I felt that day.

I spent a week not reading my devotionals, nor my AA recovery meditation books, and I was a mess.  Running on empty just makes me fair game for Satan.  I worked a lot of hours last week, and I got sick at the end of it.  I was ready to quit my job, because I just about lost it on the way home from work.  I had nothing to throw at Satan.  In AA, we talk about not allowing ourselves get to Hungry, Angry, Lonely or Tired, and use the acronym H.A.L.T.  When we become that way, we are vulnerable to relapse.  Same for being vulnerable to Satan's wiles.  Yet, Jesus was able to resist Satan after His 40 days of fasting, because He used scripture to ward off every temptation of the enemy.

I can't allow myself to get that far away from my daily devotions anymore.

Please pray for my son, Sean.  He has another staph infection in a carbuncle in his neck.

Hugs,
Trish
