Sweet hubby was diagnosed with prostate cancer a few months back and had his second follow up (they decided to just monitor as it wasn't too bad). Well his PSA droppped and that rarely happens so needless to say we are singing praises around here. He not only takes care of me but also his 93 yr. old mom every day so we really need him healthy. Our awesome God is doing it again!!!
Praise the Lord that is so awesome, you'll feel much better once it is out! And hooray for the medicine assistance that is terrific too. Now just gotta pray up that car repair and you're good to go! God is good, all the time!
I finally have a date for my gall bladder surgery. The nurse at the surgeon's first tried to give me August 15th, but my daughter can't drive me that day, coz she babysits. So, the next day she and the surgeon's nurse could get together on is August 27th. Praise oh praise the Lord.
I also got approved for free medication assistance for generic Lovenox. Another huge praise.
Must scoot. Would still appreciate prayer for the surgery to go smoothly.

Good good I sent it the same day you said you were leaving so hoped they'd hang on to it for you. Yep it can't hurt to get a supply set up before you have to have work done. I need to get a bunch of dental work done too, probably get a top denture but have to get my lungs a little healthier first. They aren't going to put me under just pull a couple of teeth at a time with local anesthesia. Not looking forward to it but a tooth my bridge is attatched to broke off and the bridge crumbled too. I look like a toothless ol' hillbilly granny and I guess I will for awhile even when they pull the teeth. That means I get to eat ice ream all the time right?!
Now we just have to pray up those car repairs and life is good again!!! Hang in there, we know He is at work on it right now!
Hi Karen,
I did get the package today. When I arrived home, on Monday, there was a card in my mailbox, letting me know I had a package waiting for a signature. I had misplaced it, but found it last night, signed it and put it in my mailbox for the letter carrier to redeliver it Monday. Turns out, she had it on her truck when she delivered my mail this afternoon. So, she brought it to my door.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm so grateful for your help.
I'm still going to call Novartis, the company offering the medication assistance for generic Lovenox. Right after I get done recuperating from the gall bladder surgery, I need to get some dental work done. In the meantime, I need new tires on my car, and the air conditioner repaired.
Love and Hugs,
Trish

When did you mail the package? Does it require delivery confirmation? I'll check with my post office tomorrow.
Thanks,
Love,

Oh I so understand! I 'bout died the first time I had to pay for the lovonox!! Even with my insurance coverage if I buy it local I have to pay $200-$400 for a couple of weeks worth. The only way I can really get a break on it is if I plan surgeries, etc. far enough ahead that I can order it thru mail order then i can get 3 mos. worth for $40, it must just kill the ins. to pay that little for a few thousand dollars worth of drugs. By the way did you get my little package I sent? I know there is also a way to get free or low cost drugs from the manufacturer, that might be an alternative too. My mom used to have a $300 a month drug that she got for free from them for as long as she needed it. Also maybe Salvation Army or Goodwill would have money for things like that. Or even maybe an unspoken love offering thru your church. We've done that a few times at churches I've gone to. The Pastor just announces that there is member of the congregation with unexpectedly high medical needs and any contribution would be appreciated. Of course we don't just hand over cash but make arrangements to pay for whatever is needed. Of course I will still keep praying that this will all work out for you. God bless!
Hi Everyone,
Karen, you know about how I am constantly getting procedures done, and as a result, I must go off my Coumadin. Well, in addition to needing the gall bladder surgery, I also need dental work. I applied for help with obtaining generic Lovenox, coz I can't afford $600 every time I need a procedure, and there was a document missing from my original application. I found this out while visiting family in Pennsylvania two weeks ago. So, they sent back all my paperwork, and it was waiting for me when I got home on Monday. I got the paperwork in order, and faxed it this morning. The company has to confirm that I do not have insurance coverage for injectables, before they decide if I'm eligible for assistance. I would really appreciate prayer that this would be processed fast, and that I would be approved. I see the surgeon on the 31st, and have no idea how soon I'll get a surgery date. I plan to call the company on the 30th, in the hopes I'll be approved, and be able to schedule my surgery right away. I desperately need this surgery, and really don't have the money for the med.
Thanks for the prayers.
Hugs,
Trish

Oh man it just never ends does it?! I pray for ya every night so will add this too. I keep asking God what is it I'm not understanding that I keep having health issues but I guess I'm still not getting it. Sometimes I wonder why folks like us have one thing after another and others seem to just sail along. Even the Christian folks sometimes seem to have it so much easier but we never seem to catch a break. Then I have to be real and realize it could be so much worse. Yeah our heat pump may have died (no surprise after 15 yrs) but we did have a credit card we could put it on. Just a thought sometimes high schools or colleges have automotive classes where you can get work done cheaper than normal. Anyway I'll continue to pray for financial help. By the way how is the son who was in the accident and how is SIL doing, did he get rid of the kidney issues? God bless!
