Today is just a reminder day Luke 12:22 Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life. Jesus promises to take care of us and we can count on His promise unlike our own promises! Just as He cares for the lilies of the field and the birds of the sky He will take care of our needs. We may not know the future but we do KNOW that we are under His loving care!
God bless!

I totally understand that comfort of knowing a loved one is dancing in heaven, while I wait down here. Both of my brothers died suddenly of pulmonary emboli, one at age 40, the other at age 56. If they did not know the Lord, I am not sure if I would be able to be comforted. At their funerals, we had our former pastor and his wife sing, "I Can Only Imagine," by Mercy Me. It is about how we will react when we are face to face with the Saviour in heaven. It is such a comfort to know they are waiting for us.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Reunions are awesome occasions! We sometimes weep with joy at being reunited with loved ones we haven't seen in years! Can you imagine what it is going to be like when we are reunited with our Saviour!!! What weeping for joy will happen that day?! While I'm not in a big rush for that day it is comforting to know it will be here one day. I have 2 friends right now that are standing at the doorstep of Heaven as I write and thankfully they both know the Lord so they will be experiencing this joy very shortly. What a relief to KNOW where you are going at death. Or as I like to call it graduation day!
God bless!

That's so true how we often use things to fill emptiness and it just never works. I've been on welfare and worked myself, then married hubby and he made excellent money, then he retired and even with good planning ahead it's getting to be payday to payday. The economy just didn't care about his planning. So we aren't in the position we'd hoped for but we do make the bills so csn't complain. God does always provide for our needs!

Hi Karen,
I understand about money. After my divorce, I wracked up a lot of credit card debt, which I did out of fear. A lot of it was to spend time with my kids, airfare, hotels, etc. A lot was just impulsive spending because I thought I could not live without something.
Now, I am on a fixed income, and I am making it month to month, but still worry sometimes. I do have a part time job, which varies, when I am healthy and not wearing the boot. That helps. Still, I am content with my current situation, though sometimes ashamed because I can't afford a big house like my ex.
God is providing me with all of my needs. Not all of my wants.
He is Good ALL the time.
Hugs,
Trish

Goodness busy day today, saw a surgeon about a growth on my thyroid that is getting bigger. I guess we are gonna do a needle biopsy to see what that shows. If we don't get a definate diagnosis from that we may just take half or even all of it out. It's doubled in size the last couple of years so gotta do something with it.
The lesson today is about the importance or maybe lack of importance of montery issues in our lives. So many of us tend to put too much importance on making and getting money and lots of it. Sure it's nice to not have to worry about money but too many people put so much emphasis on it that they lose all the joy in life trying to get just one more dollar. Most of us could get by with much less than we do. I know I look at some of our friends with motor homes, boats and new cars with envy until I realize that they are in hock up to their eyebrows. We own our home, cars and have very few monthly bills so we do OK. I would much rather drive a 10 yr. old car than have to worry everynight about being in debt. At least I can sleep at night with out that worry. I would urge us to see if there is anything we can do with out this week.
God bless!

Topic: Please pray
Please pray for my son, Sean. He is right now at the emergency room trying to get a friend committed to the hospital. The friend has bipolar disorder, abuses drugs, hallucinates, and took an overdose and drank a large amount of alcohol today.
My prayer request is twofold. 1. Pray for the friend to get the help he needs for his mental illness and rehab for his substance abuse problem. 2. Pray for my son, Sean, as he has a history of drug abuse, drinks alcohol, and needs to see a psychiatrist himself. I would love it if he stopped drinking and went back to AA.
Hugs,
Trish

Thanks, Trish. I'll have my iPad with in the hospital but I'll be in cardiac intensive care, so it may be a few days.
