Topic: Praying for Karen
Tonight, I want to pray for Karen. She has kept this message board going, all by herself. It would be great if some of you lurkers jumped in and shared with us. This is the safest place for Christians to fellowship.
"Lord, I pray for my sister, Karen, and ask that you be with her, as she prepares herself for surgery. Please give her YOUR peace that passes all understanding.
Please be with the surgeon, and give him/her wisdom as they prepare to operate on her tomorrow. Please be with the nurses and other people who will be in the Operating Room. Allow the surgery to go smoothly, and let there be minimal pain as she comes out from under the anasthesia.
I ask these things in Jesus Most Precious Name.
Amen."
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Aw hon if you have 3 men from church that alone would be enough to get the move done and throw in the teens, you're gold hon! Try to relax cause that should be more than enough help for you and you let them do most of the work so you don't mess up your foot!!! I moved with way less than that so you will be fine.
Yeah I think you are the only person *****ally understands my pain cause we seem to share the same body but on different coasts!
I gotta get busy today and finish up maiking me some egg muffin things for hubby to pop in the micro for my breakfasts and then groom my little hair ball while I can, won't be able to once I'm gimped up again. So I'll catch ya later! RELAX!

Hi Karen,
I will be praying for you as you have your foot surgery. I totally relate to foot surgery. I have had four so far, and am set to have another as soon as I get out of wearing the Cam Walker boot. I see the podiatrist on Thursday for the pain I have had that caused me to have to wear the boot in the first place.
I am having serious panic attacks when it comes to my move to the downstairs apartment. I take possession of it Friday afternoon. I plan to move some stuff down there after I get my second IV iron infusion. I was supposed to go this morning, but am sick with some type of bug that has me sweating and having chills, and nauseous. It was worse yesterday, but still felt lousy today.
I have three confirmed men from church helping me. I asked the Youth Minister about rounding up some teens, and he said he would. My church has the teens available to help the congregation, and the congregation rewards them by making donations to the scholarship fund for the weekend trips they take. In the Fall, they have a huge evangelistic outreach where they go to a camp in the mountains and have a paintball war, and there are Bible devotions over the weekend and the Gospel is presented. Kids invite their friends from school on this weekend. Kids accept the Lord, and it is awesome. Then, in the Winter, the Senior High and Junior High each take a weekend for a retreat. All of these weekends cost money and not all of the kids can afford them in today's economy.
Let us know how you make out with the surgery as soon as you are able.
Hugs,
Trish

As Christians we all know we cannot finish this race on our own, it takes a firm belief and faith in our Lord. Without Jesus at the core of our lives we can not succeed in this life. Even with Him we may stuggle but we always know that He is there to guide us no matter what comes our way. I will be gone for a few days Thurs. and beyond for foot surgery. As soon as I'm able I'll be back to annoy you all!![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/biggrin2.gif)
God bless!

Hi Karen,
I questioned the Lord a lot in the past few years, with my herniated discs, and other pain issues. The book I have been reading by Joni Eareckson Tada, has really helped me explore pain and suffering as part of God perfect plan for me. It has helped me to get perspective on the chronic nature of my pain, and helps me not feel sorry for myself. I recommend it. I can't remember the exact title, but if you go to Amazon, and look up her name, it is her latest book.
I appreciate prayers for my upcoming move. I am having panic attacks big time about it. I am dependent on people at church to help me make the move. I don't know how many people are helping. I told the Youth Pastor I would donate a couple of hundred dollars to the Youth Ministry scholarship fund, which helps kids to go on their weekend in the Fall to do paintball wars, and invite their friends from school. I hope I get a lot of people out to help with the move. The more there are, the quicker the move. The good news is, I am only moving downstairs, so no truck is involved.
Hugs,
TRish

Well today's subject hit me square between the eyes! It talks about how God often puts us in positions we don't see any benefit in. Just like my pain situation, evidently fibromyalgia and arthritis on top of my COPD isn't enough, now I'm developing neuropathy in my feet, they feel like they are on fire. Why, why I keep asking? I have to keep reminding myself that "He has our good and His glory in mind". So if I can say "Father, please enable me to trust and honor You in this situation", then I will be in concert with His plans not mine.
God bless!

Good Morning Karen,
I appreciate the prayers for safety over here in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. We are bracing for Irene, and I am praying I do not lose electrical power. Also, I live a couple of blocks from the Delaware River, which floods on a good rain storm. We have had a mess of rain already this month, so I am sure it will flood. I just hope it does not make its way up my block. I also don't want to lose electricity because I have a freezer full of food I don't want to lose, and I really don't want to have to go to my sister's if it is prolonged. We have had storms where people lose elecrical power for days.
I am also concerned about walking Utley in the height of the rain, because he hates the rain on a good day, and it is supposed to be wicked with the wind and all.
I have to get to work packing some more.
Hugs,
Trish

Wow what a couple of crazy days! Thursday I had 2 doc appts. then got stuck in traffic but remembered a back way so snuck across the freeway on a gravel access road and headed the other direction.
Then today I was scheduled for a thyroid biopsy, they made it sound like it was an actual surgery so I didn't eat before. Pfff it was just a local but never even got that far because they couldn't find the mass that the other 2 scans showed. They found a mass but it was smaller and full of blood vessels so they decided it would be more dangerous to go ahead than to just keep an eye on it. So I came home and had somethin' to eat.
Then my foot surgery for next week was almost rescheduled because my EKG showed a blip. I'm sure it's the same as last time they didn't get the leads in the right place because it was the same gal that did it. But I still have to see a cardiologist. They said the first opening wasn't till Oct. 8th! Then she said no wait I just got a cancellation on Tues., see how God works! So I snagged that one and hopefully it'll show no problem.
So Im gonna relax and enjoy the weekend, having the grand daughter and her family over Sun. after church for a barbque. Have a great weekend and to those of you on the East coast we'll be praying for your safety!
God bless!

I sure hope the hurricane isn't too bad, it's looking pretty scary. I just bet you'll be surprised how many folks show up to help move, you have lots of people who care about you!

Hi Karen,
I have been worrying about my move a lot. I don't know how many people will be helping me, and I am running out of space to put my boxes as I pack them. It is getting scary.
Now, we have Hurricane Irene bearing down on us this weekend. Argh!. My dog and I hate taking our piddle walks in the storm.
Hugs,
Trish
