I spoke with my mother again tonight.  My cousin, Kim's best friend from childhood is in a nursing home with Lou Gehrig's Disease.  I do not know Kim's spiritual status, nor the friend's.  Please pray that these ladies will come to a saving knowledge of our loving Lord, if they don't know Him.  I live two hours from them, but Kim's sisters are believers, and have regular contact with her.  Also, one of them has visited the friend in the nursing home.  Kim, and her friend, are 53 years old.  So young to suffer such loss.

Thanks,
Trish

Thanks Trish! She was so alert it was amazing she kept trying to get her eyes open and when she finally did she just looked around in amazement, I know she can't see yet but she would turn her head when someone spoke. It was a double blessing because I was in the delivery room when GD was born, missed the first GGD birth but was there thru the whole day with this one. I also got to cut the cord, daddy wasn't even interested, he was still in shock!

My cousin, Kim, lost her 33 year old son today.  He was morbidly obese, and did not qualify for gastric bypass surgery because he  could not comply with pre-surgery weight loss requirement.  He was suffering from, kidney failure, but was not a candidate for transplant because of his weight either.

Please pray for Kim, and her children.  They have had a rough life, with Kim's estranged husband using drugs, and a few of the grown children have also done time in prison for drug related offenses.

I do not think Kim is a believer, but two of her sisters are.

Also, Kim is raising several of her grandchldren due to their parents drug abuse.

Thanks,
Trish

Congratulations on your little angel's birth.  How exciting to be in the room during the birth.  Praise the Lord.

Prayers for this little one's growth, both physically and spiritually.

Hugs,
Trish

What a wonderful weekend! My GD kept calling saying this baby is coming early and of course I said oh you have another week yet. Well at 4:18 PM Mon. our little sweetheart made her apperance. I was blessed enough to be there for delivery and to cut the cord, daddy was too nervous. I watched GD be born and now her 2nd little girl join the world. An extra bonus blessing was that our Pastor was able to spend most of the day with her while in labor and came back right after the birth and said a special prayer for the baby! That makes 7 grand kids and 5 great grands, my only regret is that I can't get around as well as I'd like to enjoy them but maybe my day will come yet!

So for todays topic we have poetic justice for a topic. Sometimes we think we know what would be just and fair in life but guess what, we probably don't! When it comes to justice and fair play we need to look to God for how to act or react or whether we should do anything at all. Most times  it is best to leave the results to God. We can try to make a situation fair or just but we can never know the whole of the situation like God can. We can only see with impaired human eyes, God can see with omnipotent eyes. So most times it is best to leave the justice and fair results to the One who can actually handle it.

God bless!

 Oh Karen,
I know how you feel right now on baby watch.  When my daughter was in labor with Isabel, my first grandchild, I could not be with her in Michigan, so I was at the mercy of her husband's calls to keep me posted.  I finally went there a week later.  When Lincoln, her second, was arriving, I drove to be there, and got there the night before she went into labor.  She woke up at 5:30 a.m. in labor, and I stayed with Isabel till she woke up, then I drove her to wait at the hospital with her other grandmother.  I was so thrilled to hold that little guy, well big guy.  He was 9 lbs. 6 oz. and a week early.  My daughter's labor with Lincoln was only five hours, praise the Lord.

Blessings,
Trish

I know and it's just unfathomable that he loves us even more than we can love our little ones! Too amazing! GD just called to say she's having contractions every hour so I'm hoping her baby is coming soon. GGMa is on baby watch, will let you know if we actual get anywhere with it, you know how babies are!?

 Psalm 18 19 He brought me out into a spacious place;
he rescued me because he delighted in me.

Whenever I see that the Lord delights in me, I think of my grandchildren. Isabel is 4, and Lincoln is 2. I delight in them so much it hurts not to see them at times. Every minute with them is cherished and precious to me. It has taken me many years to comprehend that the Lord feels the same way about me. Now, knowing the feeling of delight I have in my Munchkins, I am in awe that the Lord feels the same way about me. I hope you know that the Lord delights in you too. Isn’t He just an awesome Father.

Hugs,
Trish

Sorry I missed yesterday, had lunch with a dear old friend and got lost in time, threw my whole day off but in a good way! I don't have a whole lot of friends but the ones I do have are precious and I never see them often enough. This lady and I were in the hospital together whe we had our kids and didn't know each other. Then 2 years later I needed a sitter for my daughter while I worked and she ended up being who I chose and we didn't realize until talking that we had been in the hospital together! Anyway we had a great lunch and enjoyed the afternoon. So I don't really have a chat for today but maybe look up an old friend to say HI to, time flies so fast sometimes they are gone before you realize it! Don't let that happen!

God bless!
