Oh Trish I'm so sorry for your son, when will these kids learn? My GD just found out today that her ex who she found dead from a suicide was way heavier into drugs than she realized. She had left hime because of that and moved back in with us but evidently he was using very, vry heavily the last month of his life. It kind of helped her to feel a little better because I know she always wondered if she had been around if would have not done it. I think if she had been around he might have taken her and the GGD with him, so I'm glad she wasn't. It is still such a sad thing to lose someone to drugs!

Please pray for my son, Sean’s best friend since high school. Steve Hasbrouk is in a coma, possibly brain dead, from a drug overdose. Please also pray for his parents and for Sean, as he drives home from Pittsburgh. Thanks, Trish

Topic: What a great neighborhood!
What kind of a neighborhood do you live in? Urban, rural, friendly, lonely there are so many different kinds. However we as Christians live in the best neighborhood of all the one Jesus is in charge of! Being a member means we have had a life change where we live in righteousness, peace and joy and this reflects to others. We are different but in the very best way. Our neighborhood is a refection of Christ's love and we need to make sure it stays that way by watching ourselves to make sure we still are worthy of being in this neighborhood!

God bless,
Karen

This is good.  I always get tripped up when I take my eyes off the Lord, and look down at my cir****tances.

Please keep praying for my friend, Maria.  I have enlisted a few of the women at my church to come alongside her as well.  Things are bad for her and her family, but she plays a role in the mess for sure.

Hugs,
Trish

Well I'm feeling better so will try to get this back on track. My lungs are still clogged up but hopefully when I see my doc Wed. he'll get me on some antibiotics and maybe prednoisone (as much as I hate it).

Alright if you are not a farmer you won't know how to plow a field correctly. To get a straight row you have to pick an object on the other side of the field and keep you eye on that when you drive. Most of us would probably just look right in front of the tractor and try to stay straight but that gives you a wavy uneven row. The same is true if we want to keep our Christian spiritual life on track, we have to keep our eye on the Savior! We can't let life's ups and downs distract us from our main goal in life, to become more Christlike. It's easy as we all know to be distracted by other things that aren't even that important so let's make that a goal for this week to keep our eyes where they belong because we don't want a crooked row! Or a crooked life!

I would appreciate prayer.  I am sick with a fever and some sort of sinus thing.

Trish, thank for sharing your study with us on second chances....yes, God is Good, and because of that I too was saved from becoming addicted to alcohol....so easy after wls.....always said, Not me,,,,well learned never to say NEVER......I am thankful to God for letting my heart and life be open to him and letting me confess my weakness and he was there for me....I started drinking three years after wls after moving to florida as snowbirds...they had happy hour each day and I never like wine before sugery, and now....love it....but in the beginning said it was my fruit exchange, until I drank the whole orchard, and starting hiding the bottles from my husband and filling the empty ones with water.......so he wouldn't know......my husband and I have never drunk since we were married and it wasen't something to even think about....well I am grateful to God and to my husband who knows everything now., I am clean over six months or more.....and tell my story in my wls support groups to pre opps never to say never.........ps...we met before, when Paul and I brought down the maps for your school project........remember..........Lois
