You're only human hon. I think we all get angry at the loss of loved ones. I know I still ask why my parents had to go, but heck they were in their 80's so it really was to be expected. It just makes it all the harder when they are so much younger! I think God expects us to be angry sometimes so He can show us His love and comfort.

Topic: My Baby Brother's Birthday
Today is my brother, Neil's 46th birthday.  He has spent the last 5 birthdays in heaven.  I miss him terribly.  I try to comfort myself with the knowledge that he is in heaven with Daddy and, now, my older brother.  Last night, for the first time since either brother died, I got angry that they are gone.  I tried to be the faithful Christian for the past five years and tell people that I am glad they are in heaven.  But, the truth is, I want them back.  They died too young.  So did Daddy.  He was only 51 when he died.  My older brother was only 56.

I hope everyone has a blessed day.

Hugs,
Trish

It has been a really good holiday season for me so far.  I have been wishing store clerks and restaurant servers "Merry Christmas" and most have been relieved and wi**** back to me.

I also try to remain calm, and gracious to people who seem harried and hopeless.  So many people have no clue what this season is all about, and I try to show love to express its real meaning.

I will be posting a message about my brother.

Hugs,
Trish

It's so sad that this time of year when we should be overjoyed by our Saviors birth that we see so many short tempers and fights. While we can't control others actions we can control ours, so when tempted to grumble and grouse try to remember to be calm and peaceful. You may even take the edge off the other person's anger. We are to be peacemakers in this angry world. So take a deep breath and try to calm a situation down if you can. Make this a truely peaceful time of year!

God bless!

Hi and welcome.  We are a small, but prayerful group here.  We need more people to stay active.  I hope you will post regularly, and let us know how your surgery and recovery are going.

I am not familiar with VSG surgery, but I am sure you will be needing to sip and walk regularly post-op.

Hugs,
Trish
