"Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises."

How can we not praise the Creator for the awesomeness (is that a word?) of nature? Mountains that seem to reach up to Heaven. The roar of oceans that cover so much of the earth. I often wonder how anyone can doubt there is a God when you see the splendor of His works. I live in the Pacific NW and trust me, God was very busy here. We can drive from mountain to seashore in just a few hours. The beauty here is indeed stunning and unbelievable. This alone convinces me that God is alive and well!

God bless!

This has been a concern of mine for several months now. I am a part of Bible Study Fellowship (which is AWESOME!!!!!!) and our homework is broken up daily so we are in our word daily. For the last several weeks I have waited until the last day or two to finish all six lessons. Even though I finish I am in a rush and do not get to really take in His word.

The discerning of God's voice is so important to know His word and I'll add to that to be still and quiet in order to hear him.

God help me to be in your word and to be still and know that you are God.

I was meditating on the Lord's return the other day. It helped because I was very down and FULL of anxiety. I just thought to myself that Jesus is coming back and we will be caught up in the cloud with him and that this world and all of it's ups and downs are temporary. We have eternal life and heaven to look forward to, praise God! All of this worry, depression and anixety that overhwelms me is temporary and I have an amazing and strong Father that can comfort me during these times.

In recent weeks, the Bible study I attend has been examining how to discern God's voice.  The past three weeks, one of the main ideas in the study is that we can't hear God's voice unless we know His Word.  It has convicted me that I need to spend more time in His Word.

I highly recommend the study, "Discerning the Voice of God," by Priscilla Shirer.  Priscilla Shirer is the daughter of Tony Evans.  She is a knowledgeable, gifted Bible teacher.  She attended Dallas Theological Seminary for her graduate study.

Trish

Hi Karen,
Sorry I didn't check in yesterday.  I am really sick, and went to the ER Wednesday night.  They found nothing significant, and think I have some sort of respiratory viral syndrome.  I see my doctor Friday.

I like this verse, because it gives me comfort to know that my brothers and father are already residing in their rooms in the mansion that is the Lord's.

Hugs,
Trish

"Oh, how I love your Law! It is my meditation all the day."

Do we study and use God's word to learn how to live our lives? Did you know any, yes any situation we can face today has an answer in the Bible? Times may change but God's word is eternal. The more we read the book the more you will love the Author!

God bless!

"If I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto Myself; that where I am there you may also be."

God is waiting with outstretched arms to "catch" us and usher us into our true home, at the end of life. Life can be risky and it can be discouraging but we can trust our catcher. If we know Jesus Christ as our personal Savior we can be sure to be caught in our Father's loving arms.

God bless!
