Topic: Need More Prayer
Hi Everyone,
I could still use some prayer. I am back on an antibiotic for another sinus infection. I really need that surgery on the 4th.
Also, I am in the middle of a switch of antidepressants, and I am struggling because the new one is not as effective as the old one. I'm not sleeping well, and I am highly sensitive emotionally.
Finally, Mom was here last night. We got into a heated discussion, and I realize that her memory is horrible. She and I are both Bipolar. So was my older brother. She compares my childhood traumas to hers, and tells me mine was not as bad as hers. She compares my mental illness to hers or my brothers, and tells me mine was not as bad as either. Then, she realized something I have suspected for most of my adult life. She told me I am like her mother, who was out of her mind, and Mom ran away to live with her father because of her Mom's abuse. I suspected that she thought that, unconciously for a long time. As she left, she called me "Mom." I told her not to call me that, and she said she "No." She has the attitude that she can treat people any way she likes, because she is the Mother, and is 85 years old. Needless to say, I am hurt once again.
And she wonders why I have been in therapy for 22 years.
I appreciate your prayers.
Hugs,
Trish

Welcome, welcome I just love when someone new pops in! Like Trish said I hope you will post often and let us know how your journey is going and if we can pray for anything for you. I'm hoping to get back to posting a daily message again soon. Have had some health issues that side tracked me for awhile but I think those are settling down pretty well, so I can get back to some daily posting. Again welcome and don't be afraid to post, all are welcome.

Hi and welcome,
We have quite a few people who check in now and then, but Karen and I tend to be the regulars who post with frequency. Please check in regularly, and let us know what the Lord is up to in your life, and how we can pray for you.
Hugs,
Trish

Praise the Lord for this young believer's faith and obedience. The gal I am mentoring was scheduled to be baptized a few weeks ago, but she backed out a couple of days before the service. She's not doing well. She has a lot of emotional problems, and her husband and daughter's despise her for the way her 16 years of drug addiction ruined the family.
I'll be praying for this young man. My prayer is that his commitment to the Lord would grow and thrive, and that he would be a humble servant.
Hugs,
Trish

What an awesome church service yesterday, grand daughter's fiance was baptised. Poor guy was sicker than a dog but wanted to go ahead with the plan. He's just the best guy she's ever been with. Just a very moving day!

Hi Karen,
I'm so glad you have gotten through the withdrawal. I hope that never happens again.
I'll be praying for your daughter. I know how it feels to have grown children fall away. Both of my sons did the same thing. It breaks my heart.
Hugs and love,
Trish

Well I think I'm gonna live now. I never want to go thru that kind of misery again! Saw my doc today and she said most of the time people don't have a problem changing over drugs but I was just a lucky one. Thank you for your prayers it DID make a difference! I'm gonna take it easy for a few more days then gotta start getting ready for my daughter and her two boys 3 and 6 to get here for the summer. I'm hoping God will use this as an opportunity to bring her back to Him. She was a Christian earlier in her life but has fallen FAR away since then. So we'll see what happens.
