"Serve the Lord with gladness."  It really isn't any more complicated than that. We need to do everything with gladness of heart. Others need to see us serving with joy not grumbling. If we are putting the Lord first we should indeed feel glad and show it.

God bless!

"For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin." When we have a life trauma whether it be the death of a family member or a cross country move we are suddenly put in a whole new way of life. We have to find a new normal since the old one no longer exists. I think this detemines how well a person adapts to these life altering changes. It's easy to think that we are the only ones to experience this but as Christians we know our Lord has been thru every situation we can imagine. He is there to comfort us knowing exactly how we feel. So when you think you are all alone and no one else understands take a few minutes to share with Jesus because He's the only one who can totally understand and give you the strength to move on.

God bless!

Glad you are keeping busy, that keeps us out of trouble, eh? I'll be praying for your health issues pain is no fun. Will also keep Maria in prayer. I had a friend who was a chronic alcoholic and she died on her early 30's because her body was just ravaged from the abuse. It was very sad, she'd lost custody of all her kids even her little 4 yr old. She just couldn't stop even after several stints in rehab.

Good Morning Family,
Hi everyone.  I have been so very busy, it is thrilling.  I have been doing volunteer work so much, I am too busy to be stressed.  First, I started volunteering at a drug and alcohol agency that offers free services to anyone seeking help.  I'm hoping that they are impressed with my dedication and work that they hire me part time.  They had a part time employee *****signed because she is in grad school.  It would be okay if they didn't hire me, I just could use the money.  I get so much out of just my volunteer work.

In addition to that volunteer work, I am volunteering at a Congressional candidate's office a couple of hours as often as possible.

It may not be much, but I am keeping very busy, and loving it.  Unfortunately, I need prayer.  I am dealing with constant foot and back pain.  I can't get in to see the podiatrist till Thursday.  I also am scheduled for an MRI this morning, to help pinpoint my shoulder pain.  Then, on Friday, I have a procedure on my lower back.  It's oupatient, done in the doctor's office.  I had it done a year ago, and it lasted that long.  It is where they burn the nerves that are causing specific back pain with a laser.  It takes six months to two years for the nerves to grow back.  I am so blessed that mine took a year.

I'm not sure if I shared about the woman I was mentoring in AA.  She's a baby Christian, and we had a falling out.  Well, we're talking again.  At least at AA meetings.  She apologized, and is trying to get things back to where they were.  I am holding onto my boundaries, and only talking to her at AA meetings.  Anyway, she has a lot of health problems due to her excessive drug abuse and alcoholism.  She has hepatitis C, cirrhosis of the liver, and brain damage.  Her memory is shot, and she was given four years to live last year.  Please keep Maria in your prayers.  Her home situation is horrendous, due to her behavior with the drugs, and since stopping drinking a little more than a year ago.

Sorry this is so long.

Hugs,
Trish

Thankfully so far it seems to be just the infection but I did pass stones  twice in the last year and all I can equate it to is natural child birth! The last time I even called the paramedics because it hurt so bad I couldn't breath and couldn't pee at all. They gave me a shot of fentenyl and I guess it relaxed me enough that I passed the stones. I need  be able to catch one somehow so they can analyze it and maybe tell what's causing them. I never had one till last year and would really like to NOT have anymore! Have a CAT scan tomorrow to check for stones, but wow it's supposed to be close to 100 degrees so I'm not looking forward to going out in that but I guess there's not much choice there.

I'll be praying for your ailments too, nothing worse than having to wait so long for an appt. Good luck!

Karen, you poor thing.

I've never had a kidney infection, but I hear they hurt like H***.  You are in my prayers.

Continue to keep me in prayer as well.  My shoulder is still bothering me.  The pain specialist I saw today has ordered an MRI of my neck so he can get a better picture of my possible source of the pain.

I was supposed to see my ear/nose/throat doc tomorrow, but my referral ran out and my primary is not in the office till tomorrow, and they want 48 hour notice.  This was supposed to be a second post-op visit since my surgery in June.  He's the best doc around, so their next available appointment isn't till September 27th.  Argh!

Also, my right foot is extremely painful, and I need to go back to the podiatrist.  His next appointment isn't till the 23rd.  Double argh!

Hang in there.
Love,
Trish

Hi Trish.  I know that most pharmaceutical companies have programs where they provide medications at no to low cost for people who qualify.  Hopefully your psychiatrist can hook you up with that; if not, your PCP should be able to get you in touch.  The clinic I go to has a person on staff whose job it is to work with people to get this set up--it's really helpful if you have meds from several different companies.

If you go on the company's website, you will probably be able to find some information about this kind of medication assistance as well.

I'll be praying for connections to be made.
