Topic: I so need to share this with you
Hello to all of you. I have to tell you this story. I am going through a trial with my mom. It is not easy. I have a young lady that I work with, who I am also friends with and her father is a pastor. She has shown me times of such great wisdom, from the mouth of babes. She handed me a CD of her father's sermon from Sunday. She said she never thought to give it to me before now, she gives it to another woman at work but not me. I was so blessed by this CD. God does not make mistakes and His timing is always what we need. The CD was about Praising God no matter what. What a revelation to me. We need to praise him no matter what. He udes PSALM 34 and also this passage which is a little long but I feel God really wants me to share this. Acts 16:

22 A mob quickly formed against Paul and Silas, and the city officials ordered them stripped and beaten with wooden rods. 23 They were severely beaten, and then they were thrown into prison. The jailer was ordered to make sure they didn’t escape. 24 So the jailer put them into the inner dungeon and clamped their feet in the stocks.

25 Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. 26 Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off! 27 The jailer woke up to see the prison doors wide open. He assumed the prisoners had escaped, so he drew his sword to kill himself. 28 But Paul shouted to him, “Stop! Don’t kill yourself! We are all here!"

29 The jailer called for lights and ran to the dungeon and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"

31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household." 32 And they shared the word of the Lord with him and with all who lived in his household. 33 Even at that hour of the night, the jailer cared for them and washed their wounds. Then he and everyone in his household were immediately baptized. 34 He brought them into his house and set a meal before them, and he and his entire household rejoiced because they all believed in God.

35 The next morning the city officials sent the police to tell the jailer, “Let those men go!" 36 So the jailer told Paul, “The city officials have said you and Silas are free to leave. Go in peace."

37 But Paul replied, “They have publicly beaten us without a trial and put us in prison—and we are Roman citizens. So now they want us to leave secretly? Certainly not! Let them come themselves to release us!"

38 When the police reported this, the city officials were alarmed to learn that Paul and Silas were Roman citizens. 39 So they came to the jail and apologized to them. Then they brought them out and begged them to leave the city. 40 When Paul and Silas left the prison, they returned to the home of Lydia. There they met with the believers and encouraged them once more. Then they left town.

Praise Him in your triumphs and your failures. He is alwasy their and I know that I need to thank Him for my mother and continue to praise Him no matter what. He brought me this far, He will never let me down. I pray you all have a blessed day.

In Christ

Topic: Life Plan Devotion #124 [Strength & Courage
Hi, Everyone.
Yesterday morning, I had a monitor put on me, to check my heart rate and oxygen saturation for 24 hours. Let me just say that it's been a challenge to do many things one-handed, as well as type with a "clip" on one finger. At first, it was awkward, then annoying, and now it's rather comical. I keep hearing the song, "If they could see me now, that dear old gang of mine..." haha
Not to worry, though. This is only a test. If there's something amiss, the Healer is in the house! :)
Do encourage me today with a response to today's devotion. Just don't expect a long winded reply. See, every cloud does have a silver lining. :)

Life Plan Devotion #124 [Strength & Courage]

Joshua 1:5-9 "No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you or forsake you. Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth, meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go" (NIV).

Joshua became leader, after the death of Moses. Joshua must have been hesitant, perhaps even fearful, for three times in Joshua 1:5-9 God says to Joshua, "Be strong and courageous." Joshua accepted Moses' place, as leader. God's will for him was Joshua's will, and even if Joshua may have felt inadequate or fearful, he believed God's Word.
Joshua knew something each of us should "know," that going "all out" for God is the unfailing prerequisite for success, in every area of life. What did "success" mean, for Joshua? It was believing in and seeing the fulfillment of that which God had spoken over him, "You and Israel will be able to take this land" (Joshua 1:8e, CEV).
Dear reader, God has a good plan for you, for you to be successful. Will you trust Him? Will you believe Him? Will you follow His Word? Will you be "available" to God, for Him to use you? Will you accept the "place" He has for you? Will you go "all out" for Him? Will you "be strong and courageous," because He has spoken those words over you? If you can say a heartfelt "yes!" to each of those questions, then you and those you "lead" (your family) will be able to experience success, to take hold of it!

What this has to do with weight loss: The weight-loss journey, especially when it involves weight-loss surgery, takes strength and courage. You are not alone. The same God who encouraged young Joshua with "Be strong and courageous" says the same thing to you today, and as you believe in Him and trust in and follow His Word, you will conquer all and experience success, which was God's plan for you all along.

Confession:
"Yes, God."

Blessings,
Mary

Good Tuesday morning everyone!  How did ya sleep?  I had another great night of pain free sleep.  3 days now!  What an awesome feeling and I have to Praise God for no pain!   Today is going to be a fantastic day!

Our challenge for today is to be assertive.  Go get what you want!  You know what it is......what is keeping you from that goal?  Just go get it!  Plain and simple.  I know you have a dream.  I know you have plans you want in life.  Just go after them.  Go get them.  They are within your reach.  Right at your fingertips.  You are the only one that can make it happen.  GO!

So, who's up?  What cha sippin' on this morning?  I'm loving me some Maxwell House.  Got Lucy's b'fast done and her coffee for her and getting the day going.

Y'all have a beautiful Tuesday as you GO BE ASSERTIVE TODAY!

Well, I'm late but better late than never I guess!  LOL  Good afternoon everyone!  I hope you slept as good as I did.  I feel WONDERFUL today!  Nothing like a great nights sleep.

Our challenge today is to never give up.  NEVER!  You are a purpose and you were created on purpose.  Your life NEVER ends as long as you are alive and you must NEVER GIVE UP on life.  Life hasn't given up on you.  Why give up on it.  As long as there is breath in your body, you should live for the day and give this day every thing you have!  Don't you dare lay down and let life just pass you by!  I compel you to get up today, start living, start moving, start loving yourself and JUST LIVE YOUR AWESOME LIFE!!

So, what cha sippin' on today?  Me?  I've already had my Chocolate Velvet coffee today and I am enjoying some more.  I've been to my work out session and I am feeling great.  Nothing like a massage and therapy to make you feel good.  I have also joined (FREE BY THE WAY) the gym at the UA Huntsville.  I am so looking forward to working out the days that I go to class.  I get to use the pool and they have aquatics exercise classes.  You can bet I am going to be joining that.  My Dr. says this is the best workout you can get with physical limitations (for now).  So, what are you enjoying today?

Y'all have the BEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE AS YOU NOT GIVE UP ON LIFE!!

You and Ruth are in my prayers. Don't you love how God puts people in your life sometimes and the blessings you get from them are absolutely amazing. I love the strong women of God God has put in my life and I thank God for them everyday. I pray God blesses you today and I pray for wisdom for the doctors during your allergy testing. God Bless

A dear friend of mine, Ruth, is in Hong Kong for a five week work project with Philadelphia Biblical University.  She posted on Facebook that Hong Kong wa**** by a really bad typhoon, which blew the door off the place in which she is staying.  She is safe, and okay.  I just ask for prayer for her as she finishes this project.  She is also battling breast cancer, and has been through the wringer in the past year.  She is a woman of great faith and has been guiding me in my walk with the Lord for the past 13 years.

Thanks,
Trish

Hi, Trish.
I quoted Ps. 37:4, when I posted a reply to a friend last night. :)  The Word helps us "delight" ourselves in the Lord. The Hebrew word for "delight" (for Ps. 37:4) means "to be soft, pliable, moldable." When I read that, I was blown away! That's all we have to do to delight in Him and be a delight to Him. Anyone who sees God as Santa Claus isn't delighting in Him but merely trying to see what he/she can get out of Him. As always, it's the intent of one's heart that is the key.
Thank you for reading and replying. Have a great day.
Blessings,
Mary :)

Topic: Small Prayer Request
I could use some prayer this week.  I am supposed to get some allergy testing done on Thursday.  In order to prepare for this, I must stop taking my allergy meds for four days before.  Over the weekend, I developed a nasty sinus infection and woke up this morning in agony with the headache, sore throat and drainage.  I will be calling my allergist this morning for guidance on how best to handle this.  Please pray for me, as I am trying so hard to be compliant with all of my docs, and can't handle this sinus stuff.  I had surgery in February in the hopes of finding some relief.

Thanks,
trish
