Topic: I saw this verse
When I was checking for something on BibleGateway.com tonight, the "verse of the Day" popped up.....it just seemed like something I should share:)

“But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."- 1 Samuel 16:7

Hi, Everyone.
If we could just get a revelation of this--that our body is the dwelling place of God's Holy Spirit, and it belongs to God, we wouldn't even consider the notion of thinking, doing, or saying anything contrary to God's Holy Word.
I try to ask myself, "Would I share this with the Holy Spirit? Would I give this to the Holy Spirit to eat/drink? Would I think this thought, if I knew the Holy Spirit would know what I was thinking? (He does, of course, but how often we forget that!)
Today, I'm going to meditate on one word, "Holy."
Blessings,
Mary

I praise the Lord for a safe delivery and a healthy baby boy! He is a big one and so cute--love those chubby cheeks (check out the picture, y'all). :)

Hi, Everyone.
If you'd like a free New International Version New Testament, go to www.MyFreeBible.org. It's pocket-sized so it's easy to carry with you, and it's a great gift to give to a new believer. :)
Blessings,
Mary

Topic: Who Am I? I have been bought with a price, I belong to God

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (New American Standard Bible)

19Or A)">(A)">AA)">)do you not know that B)">(B)">BB)">)your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that C)">(C)">CC)">)you are not your own?

20For D)">(D)">DD)">)you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in E)">(E)">EE)">)your body.

Today's truth is:  I have been bought with a price.  I belong to God.

Ownership.  I watch my granddaughter with her little toddler friends and cousins, and I hear the word, "MINE" over and over again.  Possessive ownership is a key element of this truth.  I belong to my heavenly Father.  My body is His, as is my  mind, heart, soul and everything that is in me.  Yet, I let Satan play with my body, mind, and everything time and time again.  God is possessive and does not want to share any part of me with the Enemy.

Yet, being the wayward human I tend to be, I go play with Satan time and time again, and sometimes return to God a little broken, and weary from allowing my body and mind to be used by Satan.  Praise the Lord, He is in the repair business, as well as grace business.

I must remember this truth when I eat, as well as when I am tempted to drink alcohol.

Trish

Topic: RE: Who I Am In Christ--I am united & one with Him (I Cor. 6:17)
Thanks for thinking of me Mary.  As you know by now, my grandson was born right about the time you were posting this.

United with Christ.  The word United means so many different things in the English language.  There was a song that went, "United we stand, divided we fall..."  Then I think of a man and wife being united.  All that has been shared so far is good food for meditating.  I would like to add my thought on being united as well.  I think of glue, super glue.  Being united with Him means I cannot be severed from Him, ever.  Romans 8:38 and 39 comes to mind.  Nothing can separate me from Him.

I cherish this truth because of so many abandonment issues as a child and teen, and even recent rejection from my mother.  She is now speaking with me, as I called her when Lincoln was born.  Amazing what the birth of a baby can do for severed relationships.

Thanks for posting.

Hugs,
Trish
