Praise the Lord for the healing that is taking place in your granddaughter's family.  That is awesome.  Too bad the little Munchkin would not get into position for a gender ID.

I have a praise...I am more mobile than I had been.  I hope I did not overdo it today.

Please pray for me..a crown came out, and I really can't afford to get the work done, but I can't eat without pain since the post and the screws came out with it.  I am too tired to get into my checking account to assess the available funds.  Please pray for me, as I must get something done soon.  I hope I have the money to get something done for now.  I will call the dentist in the morning, and check my funds at that time.

Hugs,
Trish

A former student, in college now, sent this to me.  It just blessed me to watch it, and it fits with the devotions I have been posting from In Touch Ministries.

Well my praise is that I got a call from gransddaughter who is pregnant, she had an ultra sound yesterday and all is well, baby is about 12 weeks but they couldn't tell the sex yet cause the little sprout wouldn't get in the right position. Another nice surprise was her daughter's grampa called to see how the ultra sound went. Now follow along here it get's complicated/ her daughters grampa is the father of her daddy who commited suicide a few years ago so wouldn't ordinarily be interested in someone elses baby that he just met. However he has welcomed her new mate and is very interested in being there for both of them so what could be an ackward situation is turning into a nice loving situation for all concerned, and that is very nice. Well I've rambled enough and will let the rest of you have a turn now. God bless! Karen

I love this idea yet it always leaves me feeling extremely lacking. God just should not trust me that much. I so don't feel like I'm doing the best I can even when I try. Then again He knows what a knucklehead I am! I love this time of year with the resurection upcoming, moves me to tears!

I once belonged to a church that had a T-shirt that read, "Christ is Alive at Feasterville Baptist Church."  It was a neat concept to this young Christian.  It meant that Christ was alive in me.  It meant a lot to me to think that I am a walking temple of our Lord.

Is Christ alive in you?

Jesus Is Alive and Active

Hebrews 10:10-14

Have you ever wondered what Jesus is doing, now that He has ascended to heaven? Our Scripture passage tells us that after offering Himself as a sacrifice for our sins, He sat down at the right hand of God. Verse 13 might lead us to believe He is simply sitting up there waiting for the time when He comes back to rule and reign on earth. But when we consider other passages, we soon realize He is quite active on our behalf.

First of all, even though the Son is with the Father in heaven, He is also residing within every believer in the person of the Holy Spirit, whom He sent to be in us and with us (John 15:26; Rom. 8:9-10). Christ is actively working within you to shape your character and empower your obedience.

Next, Jesus lives to intercede for those who believe in Him (Heb. 7:25). He makes requests on our behalf and brings our prayers before the Father.

Then, we see in 1 John 2:1-2 that Jesus is our Advocate when we sin. Positioned between us and holy God, Christ declares our righteous standing because of His sacrifice and our faith in Him.

What’s more, Christ is preparing a place for us in heaven (John 14:1-3). He is also arranging all the events necessary for His return.

Jesus is busy in heaven carrying out the Father’s will. And we, as His followers, should be doing the same thing. He saved us for the purpose of reflecting His life in our work, attitudes, words, and behavior. We are His body—His eyes, ears, voice, feet, and hands—pointing others to Him.

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Oh I know what you mean! My daughter constantly accuses me of faking or exagerating my pain to get attention, huh? Like I can't get attention without pain? I'd gladly be ignored completely if it would get rid of the pain, if only it were that easy! I live my life the same way, never make a promise unless I know I can keep it because I never know from day to day how I'm gonna feel and I've learned the hard way if I pu**** too hard I'll pay for it later. So I just do the best I can depending on the day. Some people don't like it because I used to be the go to person to get things done, but I just can't be that way anymore. So life goes on and I plug along.

Hi Karen,
I wish our weather weren't cold and rainy, because the scenery is beautiful, but too wet and cold to go out to enjoy it.  I was in such a funk this evening, I bought a pot of flowers to put out on my step to cheer myself up.

Praise:  I am a little more than a week away from getting two cortisone shots for my herniated discs and bursitis.  These were put off because I was scheduled for it the week after I got the blood clots, and had to postpone it because of my coumadin situation.

Prayer:  My toes are not healing at the speed I would like, though my doc seems to think it is all as it should be.  I just know, I am tired of the pain, and would love to be painfree for a year, if that is possible.

Hugs,
Trish

Amen to that, Sister.  I was talking to my Mom last night, and she just has no grasp of what chronic pain is like in terms of limiting one's life on a day-to-day basis.  I think I shared about it in the Prayer and Praise thread.  I try to volunteer with Special Olympics and a homeless ministry that is newly started in the past two yers, as well as attend church and attend Bible study, and go to AA, and since my surgery, I have been limited in what I do because of the chronic pain.  I decide one day to the next what I am going to do, as my pain varies.  Mom thinks I need to get out more.  Did not matter how many times I tried to explain that my pain limits me, especially since my surgery, and she just kept insisting I do some volunteer work and widen my social circle.  I could have been talking to a wall, for the lack of listening she did.

I would love to experience the pain free part of the glorified body to come, NOW.  Yet, I am to try to glorify the Lord in the painful vessel I have, which is so challenging.  I guess not whining as much, especially to family members who have no clue, would be a first step.  I have few friends who understand, and am so grateful that you do, Karen.

Hugs,
Trish
