I will definitely pray for you with your breathing issues.  Having asthma, I appreciate being able to breath freely.  My mom does not understand why I stay in a hotel when I go to Pittsburgh to see my son.  Why don't I stay with son?  Well, he and girlfriend smoke like chimneys, and I like breathing clean air, and she said to open a window, and that does not cut it for me at all.

I am grateful that the symptoms I had Thursday night are gone.  I am feeling so much better.

Please pray for my daughter's work situation to improve.  She is praying her principal will find a different school district, as he is really to the point of almost stalking her.  He has no professional boundaries at all.

Thanks,
Trish

Beautiful spring day, great visit with my KnitWit buddies and got my grocery shopping done for the week, all in all a good day. Please pray that my pulmonary doc can figure out why my O2 levels drop so quickly when I exert myself the least bit. I have an appt next week to do some pulmonary function tests. I just need to find out what this is and hopefully how to fix it. He says my lungs are great, the equivilent of 1 2/3 lung power when sitting but drop drastically when I move around. I end up short of breath just walking 15 feet to the bathroom. So it really limits my life, can't even take my great grand D for a walk or my dog for that matter. If I can qualify for portable oxygen it would sure help, I might even drop a few pounds. So thanks in advance and I'll let you know the outcome. God bless! Karen

Oh yea you can never take a chance with clots, I've had my share of scares too. It can turn bad so fast that it really needs immediate attention especially when it is a family trait. You did the right thing! Besides you can't leave us we need you here, otherwise I'd have to talk to myself!

I had a health scare last night, and ended up calling 911 and taking an ambulance to the ER.  I had the same symptoms and cir****tances as in October when I had a blood clot.  My next door neighbor came over and got Utley, my dog, and took him to his house.  I had never been in an ambulance before, and the EMTs were marvelous.  Turns out, I am already sick and on steroids for an upper respiratory infection, and my salt level in my blood is too low, and my Coumadin level is too high.

My older son was called by my sis-in-law, and was concerned about my health crises.  He repeatedly asked me if I was sober.  I understand his concern, but my doctor tells me when I have those symptoms to go to the ER.  I don't think son understands, even though we buried both my brothers with clots.

God is good.  For the first time, I was scared.  I prayed while in the ambulance, asking the Lord to give me more time to serve Him here on Earth, and to spend more time with my children and grandchildren.

Have a good day.

Hugs,
Trish

Selfish Christianity

John 6:22-27

Which interests you more—who Jesus is or what He can do for you? I’m afraid that too many of us are more concerned about what He can give us than we are about getting to know who He is.

But this is nothing new—Jesus had this problem when He walked on earth. The crowds often sought Him out for what He could do for them. Even though their needs were quite often legitimate, Christ knew their motives.

There is a fine line between selfishly trying to use the Lord to get what we want and humbly coming to Him with our needs and struggles. Some of the issues we bring to Him are so pressing and urgent in our minds that our desire for Him to take action in the way we want becomes greater than our willingness to submit to His will. At times, what we call “faith" is really a demanding spirit.

We must remember that our needs will come to an end, but Jesus Christ will remain forever. If our prayers have dealt only with presenting our requests to the Lord, we’ve missed a great opportunity to get to know the One with whom we’ll spend eternity. Let’s invest time in pursuing intimacy with Christ. Then we can enjoy the benefits of that relationship forever.

How much of your communion with God is devoted to your needs—even legitimate ones? Are you spending any time getting to know the Lord? Although God delights in our prayers and tells us to pray about everything, He also wants us to come to Him just because we enjoy being with Him.

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Moving companies can be so underhanded sometimes, it's just not right. You might contact the better business bureau and the states attourney general to see if others have complaints against them. Seems there must be something you can do, maybe small claims court. I'll pray to that this gets resolved quickly for you!

Ahhh you are so lucky to have a techie son! My hubby is a geek so I just holler for him, can't even imagine trying to deal with a puter without him. I'd never be able to afford it. Have a safe rest of your trip and a good visit with the pain doc.

Hi,
Sorry you are going through this experience. I'm praying.  I had a similar problem. They charged storage and TRIED to charge me time and a half for delivery. Ask them about it . Maybe not, it might give them ideas.  Mag

Hi all,

The moving company is holding out stuff hostage until we pay the $3060.  In the meantime, any money we saved is dwindling because we have to buy everything.  It isn't fair that they are doing this.  Please pray for us.
