I also got a cortisone shot in my hip, and the doc did not want to do two at a time, because of the mount of steroids at once. So, I have to go back in a couple of weeks and get that taken care of, because I wake up in agony every morning.
My bedroom had a slight flood today. The roof above my bedroom seems to be leaking and it came through my ceiling, above my windows. My curtains came down, and I had to put a bucket there because it was a steady flow during a downpour. I have fans on trying to dry my carpet. My landlord was out of town today, and his wife came up and looked at the situation. Since they need access to the attic through one of my closets, and I don't know when they are going to get someone to work on this problem, I rescheduled my therapy session, AGAIN. This session was supposed to be last Friday, then I rescheduled it to Monday, then I pushed it to tomorrow. Now it is a week from tomorrow.
I did see my psychiatrist yesterday, and we discussed my pain meds, and my overall behavior and attitude. He is pleased with where I am, given the pain situation, and the painkillers.
My relationship with my mother and sister is strained. Mom is of the opinion that I should have told my son I could not accept his Mothers Day gift, an afternoon with him at a Phillies game, two weeks ago, because I made a commitment with my sister. I have helped my sister for years with Special Olympics, and gave her three days in April, and she threw a fit, insulting me, and saying she could not count on me for help with Special Olympics. My sister lives 10 minutes away. My son lives 2-3 hours away, and travels extensively for business.
I guess I just needed to ramble today.

Would appreciate prayer that the cortisone shot last longer than two weeks this time.

The Grace of Giving
Today we live under a new covenant established by God through the shed blood of His Son Jesus (Heb. 9:15). Based on what Christ did, Romans 12:1 tells us to present ourselves “as a living and holy sacrifice, [which is] acceptable" to the Lord. If you are a child of God, all of your abilities, time, and money belong to Him.
The principle of sacrificial living can be seen in the early church. Those new believers eagerly sold their possessions and property to meet the needs around them (Acts 2:45). In response to their generosity, God blessed them with glad hearts, favor from the people, and increasing numbers.
Macedonian churches also understood the priority of giving. Even though the believers there were extremely poor, they begged for the opportunity to help financially. Scripture says they excelled at the “grace of giving" (v. 7 niv).
Under Old Testament law, God required a tithe (a tenth of one’s animals and crops) to support the temple (Lev. 27:30-32). When the nation drifted away from this practice, the Lord sent Malachi to warn them of the consequences for disobeying. By not giving their tithe, they were robbing God of what was rightfully His (Mal. 3:8). We certainly don’t want to be guilty of withholding the Lord’s money from Him.
Having appointed us to be His stewards and entrusted us with resources, God expects us to give generously. Jesus praised the impoverished widow in the temple for her sacrificial giving (Mark 12:41-44). When we trust the Lord with our finances as thewidow did, we’ll excel at the grace of giving.

Mom just thinks I should save the money, and I am entitled to stay with my son, because I am the Mom, and should not have to pay for a hotel. I used to try to stay with son, but it's just too inconvenient to breath smoky air, and impose on him and the girlfriend, when I can get an expensive hotel room for cheap on Priceline, and swim in the pool and use the exercise room. Son and girlfriend came to hotel and we went to dinner, and then we had a nice visit in my smokefree room. When they needed a fix of nicotine, they went down to the area outside the door, and came back up afterward.
