*** Monday's Rollcall ***
Howdy Guys and Gals!
Is is just me or have the rollcalls started to dwindle? It's hard for me to get on here everyday as I'm sure it is for most of you guys. Still, I love reading the rollcalls and seeing how everyone is doing. So, I will start them when I can and I hope you guys will help me out when I can't make it.
As for me, I am still living life here in H-town. I finally promoted to sergeant last Friday. I will be hitting the streets to start my training program tomorrow at 6:00 am!!! Please keep me in your prayers. I've been working a desk job for about the last 7 year and I am a little nervous about going back out on patrol.
Since its been so long, I'll do some basic Questions of the Day:
1. Where are you in your weight loss journey?
2. What are you struggling with?
3. If you've already had surgery, any regrets?
Can't wait to hear from you guys! Have a blessed day!
Love, Jacinda
My answers:
1. Where are you in your weight loss journey?
I am 6 1/2 mos out. Here are my stats: 225/145/130. Just writing that down, I realize that I only have 15 lbs to my goal! Wow!
2. What are you struggling with?
Right now, I can't say that I'm really having any struggles anymore. Not any that really bother me that much anyway. Compared to the beginning, life is a breeze now. At my 6 mo checkup, I was slightly malnurished. I have doubled up on my protein to try and correct this. So if I have a struggle, it is choking down those shakes everyday. I'm sure you can all relate.
3. If you've already had surgery, any regrets?
NONE!!! I'd do it again in a heart beat!
I know exactly where you are comin' from Jacinda....I went thru LPN school and didn't go immediately to work because I wanted to continue my prerequs for AS/RN....anyway, when I did go to floor work about a year later I was so nervous. I'm finishing my AS/RN school program now...and not working, so I'm a little anxious about what's around the next corner.
I know, without a doubt though, that God is preparing me and He will equip me for whatever the challenges are. I'm sure He's doing the same for you, too as you move from desk to patrol.
1. I am over 28 months post op and have been at my goal since 7 months out. 228 @ preop/130 @ 7 mos out,/114 @ 1 yr. out,/120 current.
2. I struggle sometimes making water the biggest portion of my fluid intake.
3. I have no regrets about having the surgery, at all.
Have a blessed day Jacinda.

Hello Jacinda!
Congratulations on your promotion!!
1. Where are you in your weight loss journey? I'm almost 21 months post op and I've lost a total of 165.8. I never really set a goal, just wanted to feel and look healthy and I think I've accomplished that so far.
2. What are you struggling with? Water intake right now.
3. If you've already had surgery, any regrets? None whatsoever!
Hugs and God bless everyone!

Hello Jacinda, Congratulation!! Be careful out there on the streets and I pray the Lord will be your shield. I so much appreciate and respect you all in law enforcement. We all owe you so much.
My answers:
1. I am exactly 6 months out today! I have my six month check up on May 3rd. I weighed 251 prior to beginning my pre-op liquid diet. On the day of surgery I was at 243. This morning I weighed 181. I seem to be a rather slow loser but I am okay with that. the scale keeps inching down
2. I don't think I am struggling with anything. I am faithful with my supplements and feel great.
3. No regrets about having surgery. Thankful every day for being able to have had it!
Hi Jacinda and everyone else~
(I'm still waiting for you to post your pic so we can see your face missy!!)
I hope everyone is having a great day. As for me I am stranded in the house because DH's truck wouldn't start and he had to take my van. So, no gym today. I did get some good pilates in at home though.
QOD:
1. Where are you in your weight loss journey? I am just over 3 mons post op. 321/253/170
2. What are you struggling with? this might sound silly, but I refuse to eat carbs. I know that is bad. The most carbs I consume at once come from my vitamins believe it or not. My doc really wants me to eat fruit if nothing else to get SOME sugars in me. I bought some on Friday and was able to bring myself to eat 1/2 an apple today.
3. If you've already had surgery, any regrets? no regrets. This was by far the best decision I ever made!!!!

Hey Gang, I just wanted to say thank you for all your posts on rollcall today. You are all such an inspiration to me. I am grateful to know you all. I won't have time to post in the morning tomorrow since I have to be at work at 6am . But, I am looking forward to reading a rollcall that someone else starts. Thank you all for your prayers for tomorrow. I hope everyone has a blessed day!
Love, Jacinda
Hi Jacinda! I'm a day late, but wanted to respond to roll call! You be careful out there on the streets, okay?!
1. I am just over 6 months out and have been blessed with loosing 168 pounds. Thank You, Jesus! I still have 147 pounds to go though! I started out at 465 pounds, and today I weighed 297.
2. I thank God that I can't seem to think of anything that I am struggling with with eating, etc. Now other things in my life, like being kind and loving at ALL times! I am really failing at! I want to be a sweet, loving person to everyone, not just when I "feel" like it!
3. No regrets at all! PTL!
Love you all! Cindy
