Goodmorning everyone! I hope each one of you had a blessed Easter celebration yesterday! I thank God for his love for us and the sacrifice of his Son for our debts to be paid. Praise Him! I haven't been very good about any updates, and have yet to get my profile on, but here goes for now. I am 3 mo. out, and have now lost 40#. I have gone from a size 2x or 22, to a variety of sizes! Sometimes I can wear an extra large, or an 18 in women's, and even got into a size 16 skirt that I'd been hanging onto. I praise God for that, and for the surgery. There are a few things I could use some encouragement with though. The Dr. said at my last visit that I was about 10# behind where he expected me to be. I told him I wasn't able yet to do much exercising, and he had forgotten about my bad hips, but encouraged me to get to the pool. Well, I decided that I had better do it, and have been going 2-3days a week for the last 2 weeks. I do 45min of walking, and 15 of laps. The laps about do my hips in! But I am sticking to it. The pool is 40miles from home, so I am not able to go more often. The other days I try to use my mini trampoline, but that does not seem to work out very well, causing pain. Anyway, I was just wondering how many others of you have had this problem of loosing slowly, and do I need to fear not getting to goal? I started out at 246 and am down to 206, with a goal of 140. I get 60-80 gr. of protein daily between reg. food, and shakes or bars. I can't seem to eat enough to get it all in with just meals. I am behind on the water. I just don't know how you all can drink so much!! I would have to put on one of those packs and have a sipper straw in my mouth all day, and I still don't think I could do that much! I am lucky on a good day to get in 5-6cups. I am also keeping track of my carbs to keep them under 25 for the day, and can get that ok. So what else can I do, and I just need to hear that I'm not going to stall at and than come to a standstill. I am grateful that I am not having trouble with food issues or cravings. In fact it just seems a chore now to get food in, except for an occasional craving for bread and butter!! And that really makes me uncomfortable for quite a while after eating, so don't do it often. Anyway, I would appreciate any advice and all encouragement!! Thanks for reading this long entry. And congratulations to all of you who have kept up with your profiles! They are an encouragement to me, and it is fun to get to know who you are. God Bless, Kathy B.

Hi Kathy it sounds like you are doing pretty good. you are 3 months out now. At 3 months out my nutritionist told me I should be getting in between 900 to 1200 calories, at least 97 grm's of protein, 100 carbs (I disagree with this, but she is the professional) And I believe she said 25 to 30 grms of fat, and a minmum of 64 oz's. of water/liquids. I still don't. I get in between 487 to 607 calories. at least 97 grms of protein no more than 8to 10 fats, and and between 35 and 47 carbs. Between 56 to 64 oz's of water on a good day. I average about 48 oz of water. I try to exercise everyday. I weigh myself every every other Tuesday. I average an 8 to 10 pound loss. Do you have a nutritionist? If you do you may want to give her/him a call to talk about what you should be taking in. I also add 1 tablespoon of Any Whey unflavored protein powder to most of what I eat. It adds 9 grm's. of protein to my food's. I don't know if this will help you or not, but I hope it does. God bless you, Annette
