MO tornados
I don't know how many of you have been keeping up with this, but I work in Caruthersville, MO. Sunday night they were hit by an F-4 tornado. It was totally devistating. The middle school is no longer capable of being used. The high school has severe damage. The school board decided to give us 2 weeks off then start back going half-days for the remainder of the year.
There has been so much devistation. Entire streets are condemed. One of the richest streets in town is rubble. Every house will have to be destroyed. It looks like a bomb was dropped and everything was destroyed. It doesn't seem real at all. I drive through there feeling like I am acting out in a movie. You just don't see this stuff. The news broadcaster compared it to a mini Katrina....and you know how bad that was. Some of the poorest communities were the ones that were hit the worst.
Board,
Please pray for this town, the community, the volunteers, and expecially those that lost family, pets, homes, and vehicles.
Thank you!

Kimberly, I saw some of the pictures on tv but I know the actual situation must be so much worse than what they can show. In Tennessee too, so many lives lost and so much property destroyed.
I do join others who are praying for those towns and the folk who are suffering. We have had so many natural disasters its hard to fathom the losses. Here in the Texas panhandle, besides the over 20 something people where were killed in the recent wildfires there were over 10,000 head of cattle and many horses killed. I think I still can't really wrap my mind around the Katrina and Rita destruction. Lives changed forever.
