Have question - need help NOW
I am almost two weeks post op and my doctor's office is closed right now. I can call if I absolutely need to. Here's my question. Over the last hour or so whenever I take a couple of sips of water I get an ache in my central abdomen area. It is just left of the center of my abdomen between my breasts and navel. It starts as an ache and then gradually turns into pain (about a 7 out of 10) and then goes away as quickly as it came. Anyone experienced this? What was it? What did you do? I have my 2 week follow up on Wednesday so I definitly plan to ask about it but I wonder if I should be very concerned in the meantime. Thanks for your help with this.

Jean,
When I am in doubt about something and the doc's office is closed, I call the hospital and ask to speak to a nurse. They never give me a problem. I just tell them I am calling because I want to know if it is necessary that I come in or should I wait until morning to call my doc.
Hope you feel better soon.

Jean~
This happened to me and STILL sometimes happens to me. Water is very hard for me to drink.
Evidently, sometimes water doesn't sit well with WLS patients. Isn't that NUTS considering how we have been DRILLED about drinking water!! But, hot liquids (excep****er) like decaf tea, herbal teas, broth and such felt MUCH better for me. Plus, the nut said it counts toward your liquid intake. Give em a try and see. As for the water thing. Just keep trying it. It may get better. It took me nearly 2 months to be able to drink it really.
Please update if you are better!
Blessings~
