OT: Weirdo's Won!!

If you saw my post to the Friday Rollcall, you'll see that my son's bowling team was in the quarterfinals this morning. They have the unpopular/nerdy kids on the team and let my son join (he's in special ed). They have been nicknamed "the weirdo's" by the "cool" kids and actually think it's pretty funny. Today, they all wore pajama pants to bowl (they had sewing this term together and finished their pajama project on Friday). One of the boys was being teased, I overheard the following: "You're a weirdo! You're a looser!" Team member "Actually, we're THE weirdo's and incase you haven't noticed, we're THE winners." They move onto the semi-finals in 2 weeks and if they win there, play for the championship. I'm really pulling for these guys (and 1 girl who is like their mother hen). These are the kids who never get picked in gym, never get asked out on dates, it would be wonderful for them to experience respect and victory! Keep praying!

THAT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! It is nice for the underdogs to win and show others that they are just as good as they are........no matter what the "label" is! Tell them CONGRATULATIONS!!! God is AMAZING and He has a great sense of humor. Love, Kathy
