overeating while waiting?
Anyone out ther overeat while waiting to hear about your insurance? It seems like I am just shoveling it in while I nervously wait for the insurance reply. My therapist told me that it seems like I am not committed to making it work for the surgery if I haven't made the commitment to eating right now? Thoughts? They have had my documents since 2/16/06 at the insurance company. Kim M.

hey its me again. I was just looking on the main board and someone had the same question as you. I thought all the responses were very helpful.

If I had a penny for every ounce of food I put in my mouth until the day b/4 my liquid fast, I'd be rich. I think that is very normal.
We are just trying to get in all the food we know that we won't be
having again. Don't worry what the therapist said. Unless he/she has gone through this process, they can't possibly understand. Hope this helps. God Bless.

Hey Debbie, Thank you for your post. You are right, she couoldn't possibly understand. At first I was mad and hurt, but now I just figure she will never fully get it even with all of her training. It is comforting hearing from others who have been in the same situation. Thanks again and God Bless. Kim M.
I can't tell you how many "last meals" I had before my surgery. My last chinese food, my last pizza, my last steak.... I was aware that my ability to eat would be severly limited and wanted to eat the foods I was going to miss and perhaps never eat again... Although now I can eat small portions of many of these foods, I still cannot pig out on these foods (Thank God)... I think this is natural...
Blessings,
Carolyn
