I just wanted to send a special Thanks to all who have helped make this dream to help Patty and Leonard a reality. I appreciate all of you who have taken your time and efforts to send items etc to help them through this tough time in their life. I hope you know how much good you have done and how much it is going to change the quality of their life !!!!! I hope with all my heart that Patty will see how much love and support is out here in the community and the WLS family, and someday consider becoming part of that special group of individuals. I thank you so much for taking the time to dig those clothes and household goods out and mail them across the state/country etc. You guys and gals are the best!!! I will be taking Pictures on Saturday and sending them to all of you, so you can be part of it all. Because without all of you this dream wouldn't of gotten off of the ground. Dear Debbie, I have to say this project became a mission of sorts for me. It really was as though God put this in my heart and directed me to get it going. That night in the laundramat when I first discovered the condition of their clothes I cried it hurt me so badly. It brought me right back to the day that my size 30/32 jeans no longer fit. My 4 x shirts were too small, and the day that I had only 2 outfits left that fit me. The zipper in my jeans was broke and I had to pin it up with a diaper pin. I remember feeling so worthless and broken down. I didnt care about my hair or makeup , why bother, I hadnt anything decent to wear. But with the grace of God and him giving me the strength to keep fighting for this WLS, I have my life back. God has been good to me and given me life over and over again. I have been so blessed with good health since having my WLS and losing 167 pounds now. I just feel it is my obligation to help others who were where I was. I truly feel that is Gods voice in telling me to help Patty and her brother.. But I couldnt of done it without help of you all. I thank God that he moved your hearts to help send these clothes and much needed items to them. I am also so greatful that these teenagers are pitching in and volunteering their time on Saturday to help with the cleaning and delivering these items. Thank you again Miss Debbie!!
