Hi All~ Can you guys keep me in prayer or maybe give me some words of encouragement? I am singing a solo on Sunday and I have barely practiced the song. Something is just not "clicking". I don't have time to pick another, and I really DO like this one. Maybe I need to practice it more, I don't know. It's called "Mercy said no" by Cece Winans. It is going to be recorded to for the pastor, which could be another reason I'm not feeling it is good enough. I guess I need to stay focused and remember that this is for an audience of one. FYI: If anyone wants a copy of the cd with my solo and my DH's sermon let me know I will be more than happy to send you one. I know that his message is going to be on faith, something we all can use more of right? Love, Dawn

Dawn I can't see you being anything but spectacular. Just look at the beautiful smile on your face. I will pray for you to have confidence in yourself. And yes I would love to have a copy of the CD. Let me know what I owe you for it. God Bless and prayers going up for you right now. In His love and mine, Debbie G.

Dawn, I'll be praying that all goes well with the solo. That is a beautiful song and I know that you will do just fine. When you sing to the Glory of God, praises go up and blessings will come down! JaNae

I have learned by leading worship that when I feel "nervous" and "anxious" it is usually a sign that I'm thinking about the performance of a piece, and for me, that is not worship...close your eyes, come into the presence of the Father who gave you your voice, breathe deeply and peacefully in the spirit and sing like you are at His feet and just wanting to offer your song as a gift of Thanksgiving. The only way you are going to sing your best is to breathe your best, so relax and drink in the presence of God and eliminate the distractions around you. Good luck!!

Hi Dawn, Remember The Lord gifted you with a beautiful voice so you could sing praises to Him. When you sing on Sunday, sing to The Lord, not to any one else. I remember one sunday I was so apprehensive about doing a song that I kept messing up during practice. Finally the pastors wife said to me What are you doing? I told her I don't know. I'm so nervous about this. She said to me, then you're doing it for the wrong reason. Sing to The Lord and you will be fine. I took a short break prayed, then tried again, this time I sang to The Lord ~need I say more. Just use your talent to praise God. Pray about it, then practice. You still have a few more day's to go. Dawn if you sing to God it will be beautiful, no matter what. Hope this help's. God bless you, Annette
