Hi ya'll, I am to have my surgery on Tuesday February 28 at 11:10a. Can I please ask all of you to pray for me. I am really scared but excited. Some of my family doesn't want me to go through with it because of the risks and have been trying to talk me out of it. I really feel though that God has let everything fall into place for me to be able to have the surgery done. I trust my Lord, but sometimes the unknown is really scary! I am so thankful that this site has a Christianity area, it is soooo important to me and has become even more so through this journey. In His Love, Deanna

I am praying for you Deanna. I'm a christian and had this surgery in October. Your post says you are scared but excited - stay that way - as long as you have examined all the risks and are confident that this is the right thing for you - go for it! I believe that God wants all of us - and for me my weight was really getting in the way. Since surgery I have more energy that allows me to take better care of my family AND have more time for ministry. I was always too tired and in too much pain to be really active - and that got in the way of being of service to God. My life is so different after just a few months. Your family is worried because they love you. Thank them for their concern and make sure you love them back - what a joy to have family that really cares. When they see the changes in you - they will be happy for you, too! God bless you, your surgeon and your family this week!

Deanna know that you are and will be in my prayers for your upcoming surgery. I am less than 2 weeks post op. I am doing great. No complications. It is the best decision I ever made. And it will be for you too. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. He has lead you to this moment. Yes the unknown is very scary, I believe we were all there. Myself less than 2 weeks ago. But I know God, if He brings us to it, He will get us through it. God Bless You. In His love and mine, Debbie G.

Deanna, You said that you fear the unknown at times. That's where you need to have the most faith. Faith is the substance of things HOPED for the EVIDENCE of things UNseen. When they roll you back Tuesday you remember that you are a patient of the Great Physician and He has NEVER lost a patient!! I know that all will go well and you will come out with a praise on your lips!! God bless, Dawn
