I am frustrated

I don't know if any of you are aware of a post that I made was pulled this week. I'm not going to say what it was about, but it was related to Christianity and worthy of being posted here. Anyway, I had a person respond very harshly to me and publicly belittle myself and my faith. Later that day he/she had OH pull my post because they found it offensive. WELL, out of pure boredom I started looking at all the different religious forums. Within that list was the atheist forum. And who is an active poster on there? The same person that had my post pulled. Now, if he/she us an atheist of course our posts here are "offensive" to him/her as the atheist posts are offensive to me. Yet, since I know I don't believe anything they say I am not going to run crying to OH to pull their nonsense. I know I have no business in that forum anyway. I am really considering sending an email to OH expressing my disappointment in how the situation was handled. Am I justified by being upset? Dawn

Dawn, Does OH give you an explanation for why posts are pulled? Beyond that, consider that at least an atheist heard the truth, even if he/she rejected it.

They sent me an email that said my post titled "Never Doubt the Word of God" was found offensive by some members therefore it has been pulled because it was found not in compliance with TOS guidelines. Dawn

Which forum did you post it? I also go to the DS forum and we sometimes walk a fine line with religious talk, although we usually just honor a person's right to agree or disagree. In this Post-Modern age where "truth" is whatever you believe it to be, it does not suprise me that OH would bow to the pressure of an atheist in order to be Politically Correct. You know that the world hates the light and will do whatever it takes to snuff out the truth. I share your frustration, in that one person's selfishness and insecurity has prevented someone else from hearing "truth" that may be (literally) life saving. I'm sorry this happened to you, but I'm not suprised...Praise God for the Christianity Board!!

I posted it HERE on the Christianity board!!!! That's why I was so bothered by it. I guess on a positive note that it must have been a convicting passage to result in such an outrage on her/his part. (good!!!) Dawn

Dawn I too get very angry and upset when a so called atheist is offended by our faith. You are justified!!!!!!!! But God will prevail. Does it make you wonder why he/she is so interested in coming to our forum and reading our posts anyway?! Are they looking for something? In need of something? I have said this many times b/4..... If we are wrong and God doesn't exist, we have nothing to lose....but, if they are wrong....think about that. Also I saw a sign posted on a church several months back which I found to be humorus as well as profound. God doesn't believe in atheists either. Food for thought. This is OH's board, so I guess they can do what ever they want ... with that being said ... In my opinion they are practicing selective sensorship; this is ok to talk about but not that. It's ok to talk about having an affair and cheating on your spouse ... go figure!!!! I had replied on a post about the other day to a woman who was going to have an abortion in order to be able to have WLS. When I went back to look at the post (immediately after submitting my reply) it was gone. I only pray that she received an email copy of my reply. Stay strong - God loves you!!! God Bless, JEn

Praise God that we at least have this forum otherwise none of us could say anything. Evidently this is not the first time that this person did this. A member here sent me a private email asking if this was the works of "****" and it was. It's really ashame that people will get their kicks out of breaking down someone else. All I know is that he/she picked the wrong person to put down. I stand firm in knowing that I have a secure backbone in my faith and anything he/she wants to throw at me I will quickly have a rebuttal too. Love, Dawn

Hello Dawn, Unfortunately I haven't been to the Christianity forum as often as I'd like, therefore, I've never seen the post...However, I know who I am ... I am a child of God (as all of you are my brother and sisters in christ), but even more I am a Soldier in Christ. I will stand on the word of God in any forum and declare the word of Christ. I back you up whole heartedly. I don't think that the OH was right to pull down the post when it was posted in a forum where language and content of that kind is recieved. This is the reason why the forums all are identified clearly by topics. This atheist is just like the Bible dictates.. "devil shall go to and fro as like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour"... The devil is busy but you know that God word is built on a sure foundation.. You don't have to fight this fight...The lord will deal with it. I would write my displeasure and definetly make it known but know that God sees all and knows all..... Be strong in the faith. nepo
