What's going on with roll call lately?? We are starting to slack! I hope that everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday. So far I am. Today I am going to join the gym. I also have to stop by the bible book store and pick up a book titled, "The Excellent Wife" by Martha Peace. Both my friend and I ordered the book and study guide. We are going to study it together in an attempt to be like the virtuous wife of Proverbs 30:10-31. My goal is that by the end of this year I will be a new woman both inside and out. QOD: 1: Prior to WLS, what diet gave you the best results? 2: Gas prices are going down now. What's the average cost of a gallon of regular in your neck of the woods? 3: What version of the bible to you prefer? God bless, Dawn

Alive and present and ready to face the day. Wow sounds like a good book. I know I fall short. But if you think about it, the husband has the harder job. "Love your wife like Christ loved the church." As for your questions 1. Medifast 2. We are paying around $2.37 per gallon. Thats Wisconsin. Some of us call it Hoseconsin. 3. I love reading New Testament. Especially John. I am only a christian for 2 1/2 yrs. so the old testament is a hard read for me. Though I just completed the study, A stranger on the road to Emmaus. (it combines old testament to new testament) It really helped me to make the connection to all of God's promises. So maybe I will be treading there b/4 ya know it. In His love and mine, Debbie G

Goodmorning everyone!! And to you, Dawn, my wls sister! I have been lurking here lately, just not feeling much like talking. Maybe it has something to do with the hormones working their way out of my system!! Anyway I have been feeling better lately, and hope to join in more. Answers to #1. The Prism diet worked well and had a lot of very good Bible studies with it. #2. $2.36 #3. I have tried and used them all, but I still love the old King James version. I trust it, and grew up on it, and did all my memorizing out of it. All the preachers used it too, so after becoming a Christian at 8 y/o, I have heard it all in KJV! Sometimes now, when people or pastors preach and read a scripture, I don't even recognize it unless they have given the reference and I am able to look it up!! It confuses me?!?! (Must be feeling my age and lack of flexibility???) Well I pray you all have a wonderful day. Mine will be spent cleaning and working with a guy coming out to est. damages done by a leaky ho****er heater! (Also praising God for insurance!) I love you all, Kathy B.

Hello all! I went to my Ladies' Bible Study this morning and really enjoying this study. I really am learning a lot. I also found out Curves will be having a joining special in our little town. If you bring in a bag of food for the food pantry they waive the joining fee. I'm definitely going to take advantage of that. I just hope and pray I don't get bored with Curves. There isn't much more offered in our little town. Everyone is well and good in my family. Kayla ran that fever for an entire week but thankfully no one else has gotten it, yet. Paul comes home tomorrow. He is in Pennsylvania this week at a meeting. God is truly blessing us. Anyway, as for the QOD: 1. The diet I had the best results from was Weigh****chers. 2. The average cost of gas in my neck of the woods (south Georgia) is $2.09. 3. I really like the New Living Translation myself. It is easier for me to understand. Everyone have a blessed day! Shel

Hello everyone! What a great day it is. It was snowing here all morning. Stopped already but I love to watch the snow fall. Sure is cold though. I can take it as long as I get some snow from it. 1. The best diet that gave me real results...Weigh****chers/Tops. Both are similar, except that WW was really into it pre-made meals for a long time. The idea of weighing in every week was great motivation for me. Ok, maybe not so great, I never lost more that 20 lbs. But I always felt much more in control and more energitic when I ate right. Also, I love doing weight training with 20 min of cardio (the elipitical). Got the best results in inches lost when I did both WW and exercise. 2. We are at $2.24/gal. Thankfully it's down. 3. I have always enjoyed the New King James, however right now I have a New Living Translation and that is so good. I love it! I also love the notes that come in the bible. God Bless you all. Enjoy this beautiful day! Love, Robin S.

Just a quick clairfication... WW has made a lot of changes over the years and they have a great plan. I works for a lot of people and they have lots of great recipe books and guides to help you lose without buying expensive frozen dinners. Thanks. Robin S.

Quick check in to see how everyone is. I enjoy the roll call cause you get to read responses from several. Thanks Dawn, for starting it today. I'm working today, having a fairly busy day. QOD 1. No diets really worked for me prior to surgery. When I had an ulcer several years ago I lost about 25 pounds because I couldn't keep food down Not a diet I would recommend! 2. gas prices are down a bit here too. I think its about $2.13 at the place where I buy. 3. I like to read in several of them but my favorite is "The Complete Jewish Bible". Have a great day!

Hi Dawn and Everyone! I have been totally out straight lately and haven't been on the board in a while! Everything is going fantastic! I am at 201 pounds a loss of 93 pounds in just over 4 months! Incredible - this surgery truly has been a miracle in my life! We had our big 25th Anniversary bash this last weekend - it was like a fairytale dream come true! My husband wrote the ceremony and even sang the song he sang at our wedding! His voice is like an angel's! We had a really nice catered dinner and dance - it was fabulous! But the best part besides being so in love with my husband, was the size 16 dancing dress - it was so flowly and fun! We then went on a 25th Honeymoon and skied our hearts out - so everything was just perfect!! 1: Prior to WLS, what diet gave you the best results? The Curves diet - the Permanent Results without Permanent Dieting Diet! It was working for me but after my accident and the doctor's threat that I may need knee replacement and no more skiing, I had to do something fast and drastic - so WLS it was and what a miracle it has been - thank you Lord! I am going to continue to use the Curves diet because right now it is working and it fits into the way I need to eat and the weight is coming off at a steady pace of 2 pounds per week which is right where I want things. 2: Gas prices are going down now. What's the average cost of a gallon of regular in your neck of the woods? $2.11 and going down. 3: What version of the bible to you prefer? NKJV (I use the New Geneva Study Bible) and NIV I have missed talking to all of you and I pray God meets you at your greatest need! I love you! God Bless, Lynda Phil. 4:8
