Answers:

I am just now feeling like reading again (since all the reading I did for the sergeant's exam). I am reading Midnight by Dean Koontz and so far, so good!
Post Op questions:
2. How's your energy?
I have tons of energy lately. I am feeling great!
3. How's your head hunger?
What head hunger?!?!?! This is one of those things that has REALLY surprised me. I have loved food so much all of my life that I thought I would really suffer in this area. In the past, I have been a real comfort eater. But, I have very little head hunger. Praise God!
Have a great weekend all!
Good Morning Jac! You are up early this morning. I am glad it is Friday too. I take my youngest to the doc today. She has been running a fever all week but she also has a lot of drainage and has a bad cough and I want to make sure the cough hasn't turned into something bad. I do have a prayer request. One of my very best friends lives in Shreveport. Her name is Karla. She is 34 years old and has already had one hip replacement and is looking at having the other one replaced. She has recently been started on high blood pressure medicine also. Please, pray for her. The devil is really working on her. She is severely depressed and I am worried about her. I would appreciate it if everyone would pray for her.
QOD:
1. The last book I read was Monster by Frank Peretti. I think that was the name of it. Anyway, I love Frank Peretti and can't wait for another of his books to come out.
2. My energy comes and goes. By late afternoon I am feeling pretty tired and run down.
3. Well, head hunger did not bother me until about 3 years post op. Now I find it is back and I am having to fight it off once again. It isn't as bad as it used to be though. Praise God!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Shel
Good morning all! I hope everyone has a beautiful day enjoying what the Lord has given us...
QOD
1. Read any good books lately? (I mean other than THE good book)
No, I haven't. I need to work some recreational reading in soon!
Post Op questions:
2. How's your energy?
Low right now. Didn't get much sleep and a tad stressed about my job search.
3. How's your head hunger?
Oh it's there! I want to eat at night like always, but I know I'm not really hungry. The only good news in that area is that I'm now eating healthier compulsive goods!
Have a blessed day!
Hugs,
Wanda
Good Morning all~~
It looks like it's going to be a great morning in So. FL....theis already bright and warm.
There is an Arts & Crafts Festival going on in Coconut Grove this weekend and DH and I plan to attend as we have yearly for the last 8 yrs.
QOD
1. Read any good books lately?
I just finished a bood that wasn't all that great so I was glad to start reading a new book. I'm reading Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz and when I fini**** I will start reading The Regime, Before They Were Left Behind by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins.(My son got it for me for Christmas.) I've read the entire series (adult and youth) and it saddens me that the series has ended.
Post Op Questions:
2. How's your energy.
My energy is terrific from the weight loss. Last Friday I had my gall bladder out and even though it was a simple procedure all those "chemicals" in the system your energy. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday I tired pretty quickly (I never stopped normal activities and school) but I'm feeling "energized" today.
3. How's your head hunger?
I keep saying the only fat I still have is the fat between my ears.
It comes and goes really. I'm able to recognize it and deal with it
"He hath made every thing beautiful in his time" Ecclesiastes 3:11
Enjoy the beauty of a blessed weekend....

Good morning Jacinda and everyone else~
Happy Friday!! I have to go to an unemployment orientation today. That is going to be a waste of time. But if I don't go they will cancel my unemployment benefits. I don't know if I mentioned this but a few weeks ago I compared what I used to make working and what I get now from unemployment and I actually make $96 more a month by staying home because I don't have to pay for childcare. Isn't that great??
1: Yes, I just started reading "The woman's role in the home" by Tony Evans. It's under 100 pages so I'm sure I will get it done in no time. You wouldn't think that a man could right a book on woman's roles and say it with conviction, but he does it with excellence. (fyi: I'm not letting Nick know that I am reading it. I want to see if he will notice a change in my character)
2: It is through the roof!! Yesterday it was so nice outside that I took Madison for a 2 hour walk in her stroller.
3: I have serious head hunger at night. I have grown accustomed to eating junk while watching TV. Every night around 9 I start craving junk food. Usually, I'll just grab a bottle of water, or make some crystal light.
Have a blessed day!

Hi Jac and everyone! I'm so glad its Friday. And Monday is a holiday for me so its a 3 day weekend! I need to do some serious housework because I have my son from Dallas area and his family coming next weekend. Tomorrow we are driving over to see a lady who raisies poodles as we are taking first steps in getting another fur child for a house pet/family member. I like all dogs but poos are what we have had for house pets and they are wonderful. We also have a mare due to foal anytime so we are anxiously waiting on her (she is at a stable to foal out so we are not having to be out at the barn with her at our place) Its cold today too! After getting into the 80's yesterday it went to about 20 last night and still cold right now. ~~~brrr~~~ I think it must be cold just about everywhere so hope you all stay warm and toasty this weekend!
QOD:
1. I'm always reading something! I started the Jane Kirkpatrick series and finished "All Together in One Place" and eagerly waiting the next two books to get to my house. I ordered them and am impatiently waiting. I also ordered Jane Kirkpatrick's book about her own self moving to a farm in Oregon, not electricity etc... I've always been fascinated by people who do that sort of thing but I think I am too wimpy to do it myself....
2. my energy level is very good. Lots better than prior to surgery.
3. I think I get head hunger occasionally but its fairly easy to deal with and I am making good choices for snacks (for the most part).
Everyone have a blessed day and weekend!
1. The last books I've read (or re-read) were the CS Lewis Chronicles of Narnia. I got through 5 of the 7 books in the series. My reading goes in spurts and right now I'm tapped out.
2. My energy level is low right now. Since my accident 1/12 I have had a lot of pain, headaches, dizziness, etc... and my sleep has not been too good. I usually take a catnap in the afternoon to recharge. But...overall my energy is much better than pre-op!!
3. Right now my head hunger is a bear. My marriage is very stressful, I lost my job after the accident so finances are tight and that aggrevates the stress level. I find myself craving carbs. I'm trying to keep full on protein and liquids, but I also find myself feeling frustrated that I can't eat more right now (which is probably a good thing).
Sweety,
I pray that God pours out a spiritual blessing on your household and your marriage. I understand what it is like to be in a difficult relationship. My husband and I had our battles a few years back. At one point I had a restraining order against him. But once we came to realize that marriage is a 3 part relationship, we have grown so much closer. The best way to think about it is to visualize a triangle. At the bottom right is your husband, the bottom left is you, and the Top is God, as you move up the triangle and come closer to God, look how the two of you come closer as well. I know that God has great things in store for you. Keep the faith, cast your burdens to Jesus because He cares for you. And never forget God's Will will never take you where God's grace cannot protect you.
Love,
Dawn
