Dear Friends, Well, it's Valentines Day, another year has passed. As a single person, I don't really like this holiday but I am happy for those who share their love with that special person. This year I am happy for me! Yesterday I hit the 80 lb loss since my surgery and I am very happy and blessed to be alive and loving God! I wish you all the very best. With love to all my brothers and sisters in Christ, Cynthia S.

Good Morning Cynthia and all! Cynthia, sounds like you are doing great with your weight loss! 80 lbs is fantastic! Well, Valentine's Day is just another day for us. You see, my birthday was the 7th, our anniversary was the 12th (18 wonderful years ) and the 16th is my hubby's birthday and then our oldest daughter's birthday is on the 25th. Needless to say, the most important day is Kat's birthday. She will be 13 and grandma is flying in from AR to be with her. Grandma has never missed one of Kat's birthdays and I'm glad she is going to continue that tradition. She is flying into Jacksonville, FL and we will meet her there and she has gotten a room at a hotel with an indoor pool. The girls will enjoy that. My youngest daughter, Kayla, has been running a fever the past few days. It was up to 103.7 yesterday but this morning it was down to 100.7. Hopefully we are over the worst and she is getting past this. If it goes back up like that I'm going to take her to the doctor and see if there is anything he can do. The only other symptoms she has is a runny nose and a cough. I guess it could just be a cold. Anyway, I pray everyone has a wonderful day. Please be sure to keep Brenda P in your prayers as her surgery is scheduled for the 20th. Shel

Hi Cynthia and all the rest of you dear family in Christ. Happy Valentines' Day. You are loved. I wrote to a new friend of mine this morning and filled her in on what's going on with me today. Here is what I wrote: My husband and I are going over to our grandson's preschool this morning. They asked if someone would bring a keyboard to show the children in the morning classes, and I am going to be that someone. I'm not a good player, but my keyboard has several prerecorded songs. My grandson is going to push a couple of buttons to turn on "Star Wars." Then he gets to push buttons so it will play his favorite song, and then we will end it by it playing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," and I hope all the kids will sing along to that one. Somewhere in between all of that, I am going to try to tell them a little bit about the keyboard. Three, four, and five-year-olds have pretty short attention spans, so I'm going to "play it by ear!" Later on my DH and I are going over to our grandsons' house to play with them while our son and daughter-in-law go to see a financial advisor. I am so blessed that we live so close to our kids. One son is married and has two sons, ages 8 and 4 ½. They live 5 minutes away. That's where we're going this afternoon. Our other son has a wonderful Christian girlfriend, and everyone, including them, hopes this relationship will lead to marriage. He lives 10 minutes away." I pray that you all have a good Tuesday. Valentine's Day is definitely a day for love. You are loved by everyone here on this board, but best of all, God loves you. Peg

Hi Cynthia and to Everyone Happy Valentine's Day! Today is just another day for me as a single person. I teased my family and told them that I don't celebrate V-Day but they know that I am kidding. I had to try to get in the spirit with my daughter because she is having a party in school and I had to go and buy V-day cards for her class. Although, I don't have a significant other to share this day with, I have my daughter and each year I buy her a present and take her to dinner because she is that special someone in my life and I'll be doing that tonight as well. Today is a day of love...I wish everyone a beautiful day! JaNae

Hello, Happy Valentines Day to all. Its a *****allenging here at work as they decided to celebrate the day as well as the Jan/Feb birthdays and so we have cake and finger foods. I am not tempted but I did eat a small pimento cheese sandwich...sort of a fourth of a sandwich really. My nephew is working for 1-800-flowers for two days and makes big money in that short time. He is a college student. I got valentine cards from my grandkids, I had sent them out some as well (of course my cards to them have some money for treats ) My closest grandson lives 1 1/2 hours drive but the other two sets are about 5 hours away in different directions. But I'm thankful they are doing well and thats where the jobs are so... One of our mares is due to foal today but it does not look like it will happen just yet. And here it is a full moon too! Maybe tonight... I do have a valentine, my dh of 37 years. I do thank the Lord for him! Everyone have a blessed day!
