***Really, Honestly, Friday Roll Call!***
((Dawn))
It's great to see you too!! Congratulations on your surgery. Praise GOD all went well!!
I am doing MUCH better. I would call myself at 90% capacity. I am still very weak and get tired easily. But, I am finally feeling a bit more like myself.
My weight loss is 49 lbs...I think. I updated my profile and it's on there. And, my dh is doing wonderfully. It is such a blessing to have him home. He has really been my helper and friend during this time. He checks in on me every day to see how things are going. What can I say?? I am blessed beyond measure!
Thanks for asking my friend. I love ya~
Hi Lynda,
Happy Friday, LOL!!!
QOD:
1: Perdue Short Cuts Chicken with FF chicken gravy; pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds and whalah!
2: Ok God, this is in Your hands. Do as You see fit.
3: This may sound selfish, but our income tax return was supposed to be direct deposited today and I just called the bank and it is not there.
Have a blessed day,
Dawn
Hi Dawn - Yes it is a happy Friday! I guess I had two of them this week!!
You have been doing so well and I am thanking God for all your wow moments! You are in my prayers for the tax return check - you are really on top of it! We haven't even thought about filing yet or maybe we have - I really don't know. My husband is a CPA and so I don't pay much attention to the fianances just my personal budget that he gives me.
Keep up the good work! I love you!
God Bless,
Lynda

Evidently quite a few people are on top of their taxes this year. I called the IRS at 4pm when I knew there was no way the funds were going to get in my account today. Of course it was just an automated system but it said that my return will be deposited on Feb 21st!! That's 21 days later than expected. I called my CPA and he said that I was the 7th person to call about their return. He said the only think that it could be is that they are overwhelmed. (I should have known, I filed on Feb 1st)
Dawn
Good morn....er afternoon Everyone,
God is so good! I'm glad your dad is home Lynda, and feeling a bit better.
Questions for today:
1. Your favorite food right now?
Right now Bumblee light tuna in a pouch. 19grams of protein per serving. And F.F. cottage cheese/w carb control yogurt, mixed/w a scoop of strawberry protein powder.
2. Your thoughts just before going into surgery.
I was so drugged up I dont remember. I do remember praying that the pain in my foot from the IV would stop. It hurt so bad I was crying. It was at that point I got the drugs and.....It's all kind of fuzzy from there.
3. Prayer request for today.
I have 2. I will be sharing "my story" after a four hour nurse/nutrition consultation at my hopital. Please pray that I would glorify The Lord through this, and that He would give me the words to speak. #2. I need an income. Please pray that I get one ~ God's will be done. Thank you,
God bless you all,
Annette L.
Hi everyone. This was such a nice day. I joined two women from the Oregon OH board for lunch today. It was exciting to talk with them and to share their experiences. They have been at this a lot longer than I have.
Questions for today:
1. Your favorite food right now? I just bought a Vita-Mix blender a couple of weeks ago, and I LOVE the protein smoothies I am making with fresh or frozen fruit and protein. It's so thick and filling!
2. Your thoughts just before going into surgery. Thy will be done.
3. Prayer request for today. Thy will be done. Courage to face the uncertainties that lie ahead. I realize that God is in control, and I am not supposed to be anxious, but I still feel anxious. I will be going in for tests sometime this spring to make sure that the cancer hasn't come back. I try to live each day to the fullest and not dwell on things that are beyond my control.
I pray that you all have a good weekend.
Peg
Hi Peg!
Your luncheon sounds like it was wonderful! It is so nice to talk to others about their experiences and glean from their knowledge!
I will be praying for you. I think you have had an incredible amount of courage and an attitude of thanksgiving towards God especially with everything that you have been through. I'm sorry that you feel anxious at times. I experience periods of anxiety too and I am not facing what you are - so for that reason you an encouragement to me and I thank the Lord for your positive, gracious spirit of wanting to live each day to the fullest. I love you!
God Bless,
Lynda

1) Raw almonds are good for me to munch, I also like homemade chicken soup and egg salad on wheat melba toast.
2****pt waiting for them to tell me it was cancelled and I had to go home...infact when they had me on the table and started to put the mask on, I asked the MD "So this is really going to happen, huh?"
3) I had to resign my job related to an injury that I had on the job, filed for comp., employer has been harassing to try to get me to drop the claim, comp. MD refuses to acknowledge my symptoms and after 3 weeks finally agreed to refer me to a specialist. The injury prevents me from doing my job but my employer refuses to give a leave of absence, wants me to sit at my desk 8 hours a day. My former employer wants to take me back immediately, but it is only a per-diem position and did not produce mu*****ome. I'm praying my former employer will have more work for me and that the specialist (neurologist) will find the source of the constant headache, vertigo, nausea, loss of balance and fainting I've been experiencing since 1/12/06 when I was in an auto accident.
