***FRIDAY ROLLCALL***
Good Mornining Everyone!
It has been a while since I have posted! So much going on! Between skiing, my job at Curves, sick grandbabies, opening of my new business, and preparing for our big 25th Wedding Anniversary bash I am totally out straight!
Our 25th Wedding Anniv. was last May but with my son getting married, my Dad's cancer, and deaths in the family it kept getting postponed. My DH and I did go to the Caribbean for two weeks for our anniversary but my kids wanted a big party. I finally told them that it wasn't going to happen but they have insisted so next Sat. is the big day. We are going to have a "Celebration of Our Vows Ceremony" (we don't believe in renewing of vows because according to the Bible when a vow is made it is made and you have to stick to it!). Then a big dinner and dance - it is going to be so fun! I am kinda of glad that it got pushed back because I am now in a size 16 and my dress is beautiful - kind of Ginger Rogers type dress that will flow when we dance! I am so in love with my husband and we are going to stay in a cabin in the mountains for a few days after and guess what? Yes, ski!!
I have missed all of you and need to catch up with what is going on! So the questions may be a bit redundant so I apologize.
1. Where are you at in your WLS journey?
2. Praise report?
3. Prayer request?
I love all of you and pray that God meets you at your greatest need!
God Bless,
Lynda
Phil. 4:8

CONGRATULATIONS on 25 years of Marriage!!!!!!! What a testimony in itself. I pray you have a great celebration!
1. I am waiting on an appeal to be approved(prayerfully) on March 15th.

3. Pray for my appeal. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can honestly praise God that I have only wants and not needs!!!!!!
He gives us so many blessings on a daily basis.
Love in Christ,
Kathy
My answers:
1. Where are you at in your WLS journey?
I am almost 4 months out from surgery and down 88 pounds! I am able to eat most anything but still only about 2-3 oz. at a time. I love my "Unjury" protein drink and I think that it is really helping. I am taking chewable Centrum, sublingual B12, Calcium Citrate (not Carbonate), potassium, and right now extra vit. C. I am easily getting in my 64 oz of water a day. I do Curves 3 x a week, water aerobics 2-3 x a week, ski once a week (I would do this everyday if I could), and I have started doing a little running. I am constantly going from the time I get up until I fall in bed at night.
2. Praise report?
My granddaughters are finally over their bad colds! It was so hard to watch them be so sick. Thank you Lord for holding my precious babies in your arms. The opening of my (and my daughter's) business went very well and we are off to a good start! Thank you Jesus! There is absolutely no pain in my knees now - incredible when just 5 months ago I was told I needed total knee replacement! I thank the Lord everyday for this surgery - I have a new life and new outlook and now I'm crying.
3. Prayer request?
My dad is in the hospital with pneumonia. Please pray that he recovers quickly - his cancer is still in remission so I pray that this does not weaken his body too much. He really wants to be at our 25th celebration and I pray that he will be. Thank you for your prayers because I know it was your prayers that God answered when he had cancer.
God Bless,
Lynda
Phil. 4:8
Hey Lynda! Glad to answer the roll call but you had me looking at my calendar and hoping you were right...but mine still says Thursday
QOD
1. I am a little over 3 months out, actually about 3 1/2 months out. I am down over 50 pounds and feeling so good. I too can eat about anything in small amounts and try to make good food choices and also trying to up the exercise.
2. so much to be thankful for in my family and personal life too. I am thankful for being able to have had surgery!
3. My sister is still in the process of making a decision about her marriage and I pray that she will follow the Lord's direction in this area of her life.
She has a son in college but a daughter who is in high school and I am very concerned with how this will impact my neice.
I join you in praying that for our sisters (and brothers) at this site, and that the Lord will abundantly supply all their needs.
Blessings,
Gina
Lynda,
That is so funny. Had Gina not mentioned anything I would have assumed it was friday too!!
It is so nice to see you online again!! I really missed you. I understand though, life can get hetic at times and before you know it days have slipped away.
QOD:
1. You should know better than anyone where I am in my journey! I guess I can be called a "babe in WLS" My surgery was the 16th of Jan. The last time I weighed myself I was 2 weeks postop and down 26 pounds. I have made a promise to myself that I will not step on the scale until 2/21 (my next appt).
2. I listed my praise report yesterday but I will say it again. God is true to His promises and if we put our faith in Him and follow His commandments He will bless us. (Mal 3:10) My praise is that in 1 month I have gone from NEGATIVE $200 in my account to a current positive balance of $7000. God is good and worthy of all praise!
3. I bought a book today titled "the woman's role in the home". I seem to buy books like this a lot and never read them. I feel that I have some type of image to live up to since my husband is a minister (soon to be pastor). I want our marriage to glorify God in every way. Ec 4:12 says that a threefold cord is not easily broken. I believe that the three parts are God, my husband, and myself. (note: God is always first and I am always last as I am the helpmeet and Nick is the head of the household)
Have a blessed day!!
Love,
Dawn
Hi Lynda,
Congrats on your 25th ann. party. and your weight loss thats great.
1. Where are you at in your WLS journey? I am waiting on my denial letter to come so I can start my appeal process. Please pray for my appeal when I start it.
2. Praise report? I just want to thank God for my health right now and my familys health, all my children are well now except for 1.
3. Prayer request? The one child that is sick right now is my 4 year old Gracie, she has bronchitis and also had to go to the ear specialist and they say she has a loss of hearing in her right ear, and some in her left, but can probably be somewhat repaired, I pray and hope you do to, God will provide his will in this.
thank you all so much and I pray God provides for your needs too.
Regina
Happy Anniversary Lynda. I think it is wonderful that your children are so insistant to give you a special celebration.
My DH and I will be blessed to be married 34 years this year.
1. Where are you in your weight loss journey? I am 25 months post op. I was at goal by 6 months post op and continued to lose until I was 20 pounds below my surgeon's goal. I have since stabilized at 120-123. I feel great...my labs are good...I still "mentally" count my portions by the ounce and always the protein first rule. I cannot eat bread or chicken and still have no carb cravings.
2. My praise report today is that I passed my math pharmacology test on Monday so I don't have to take the class.
3. Prayer Request? I'm having gall bladder surgery tomorrow at 12 and I ask for your prayers.
Thanks all.

It is actually Friday now so I can answer this roll call...
Congrats on your big 25! Your life sounds so great Lynda...so upbeat all the time. I hope I have your attitude when I hit my 25.
1. Where are you at in your WLS journey?
I am about 4 1/2 mos out. I have lost about 65 lbs and my BMI is 27. 10 more pounds and I will be in a "normal" weight. I am loving my new life. I can eat most normal foods also as long as there are not too many carbs and no sugar. Carbs make me sluggish and sugar makes me dump. Its funny because I have NO desire to eat sugar for fear of dumping. I LOVE that! Since I can eat so many really good foods, I feel satisifed with what I am able to eat. So far the head hunger has been very minimal. Praise God!
2. Praise report?
My husband and I have been going through a little rough patch the last few years. Mostly because of his depression I think. But, a couple of days ago. He went to his monthly therapy visit and talked about our marriage with his therapist. Since then he says that he really wants to try to have a happier marriage and I can tell that he means it. He is more affectionate, he is talking to me more and he's even helping more around the house. I know its only been a couple of days but I am very hopeful.
3. Prayer request?
Same as always. My husband's mental and physical health, my marriage and my kids. I am blessed to have them all!
God is good!
Love, Jacinda
