Good afternoon everyone~ I am asking for prayers for my father. He was taken into the emergency room yesterday morning around 5am. They don't know exactly what is wrong with him, but his white blood cell count is extremely elevated. He has diabetes, crohn's disease and bouts with colitis. He also receives dialysis 3x's/week. I just got off the phone with his nurse and she said that he is very confused and disorientated. They had the Infectious Disease doctor in to check him out and are waiting for results of those tests. He is not a very strong man anymore, but he was never that way when we were growing up. I feel terrible that no one is there with him right now, my mom can't drive and has no one to take her to the hospital right now. If you would all please keep him and my family in your prayers right now, I would really appreciate it. Your sister in Christ~ Jeanna

Jeanna~ I will defiantly remember your father in prayer. I'm assuming that you don't live near him huh? That must be difficult for you as well; knowing he is sick and unable to be there. And your mother, her heart must be breaking right now. I will be praying for all 3 of you. Love, Dawn

Jeanna, I am praying for your father. I know how hard it is to be far away from family when they are ill. Both of my parents have had serious health problems and we have never lived close. We are military and lived in Germany or California mostly and they are in FL. I pray for you peace and for God to be your comfort as you seek Him for your father's healing. My Mother in law was just diagnosed with colitis and is going through the process of changing her diet and beginning medications. I pray the Dr's will have devine wisdom for your father's illness and be able to help him. Jesus is the great physician! Love in Christ, Robin S.

Thank you so much everyone for your prayers. I just called the nurse and he is still confused but his fever is down. She hadn't accessed him yet this morning so she couldn't tell me more than that. They said last night that there definitely was/is an infection in his blood stream, but they are not sure where it is stemming from. My DH and I did get to go up and see him. It was heartbreaking. He was in pain and very restless, I tried to calm him down until they could get him some pain medication. After a few minutes when the morphine kicked in he got to sleep some and I think it was the most peaceful sleep he had in awhile. If I could ask, please continue to keep him in your prayers. God is watching over him and whatever is his will, please let me and the rest of my family accept it. God Bless~ Jeanna

Hi, I would like to say that everything will work out fine. Just have faith in God and the doctors to do their best to care for your father. i will keep you, your father and your family in my prayers. I will also have my friends say prayers too. Ask the doctor to check if his amonia levels are high if so to give him lactalose. If amonia levels are high that is why he is disoriented. Though my stepfather had these symptoms of being disoriented and had low blood platelets was because he needed a liver. Make sure the doctors run every test possible such as lab work. God Bless, Dora
