HELLO AGAIN!! Prayer request!!!
Good afternoon to all! It's been a long time since I have visited here, I posted a few times back in the fall, when my Mother inlaw was going thru the process of getting ready for surgery, and I while I was considering it.
When I came to realize that my insurance would not cover it, I just dropped the ideal, and quite praying on it (oh ye of little faith!). I told the Lord that if I was meant to be this size and this health, then I will just accept it, and learn to live with it. But I know I dont want to be, and I dont want all these problems with this weight . And I really dont think the Lord meant for me to be also (DUH! LOL).
Okay, to the purpose of my post, I have a supervisor at work who had a lap band back in Oct. She was selfpay because our insurance wouldn't pay. Okay, she worked late last night, and when she made rounds she was talking to another of my coworkers, about how disgusted she was after she had to morgage her house to pay for the surgery, that our insurance will now pay... I just happened to be in the right place to hear this!!! Come to find out Humana had bought out our insurer. YESSS!
I have a BIG request for all my brothers and sisters in Christ PLEASE!!! OH PLEASE pray that my new insurance would cover this! Seems like our company has kept this very hush hush, this buy out happened a couple of weeks ago. We are supposed to be getting new insurance cards, should have had them by December, but I hadn't recieved mine. But since the buy out, we should be getting new ones in the coming weeks any way, and you can bet I am going to call to see if any weightloss surgery is covered!!!!
The only stipulation is that if our company writes a written exclusion in there policy. But if the Lords hand is in this, who knows ???!!! I am sure praying. I am leaning towards a lapband currently, You dont lose as much weight, and not as fast, but I get scared to death thinking about the malabsorbtion of a RNY. But maybe false hope... Maybe I'll be to chicken to do anything, maybe I'll be crippled and wheelchair bound by age 50 from arthiritis and bone spurs, or have to have surgery to remove a limb from poor circulation related to my diabetes, or a stroke or heart attack.. ,...... or MAYBE I'LL DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!
Sorry, I am just thinking out loud, almost excited again Please keep me in your prayers, As I will keep you wonderful people also
My mother inlaw is doing awesome with weightloss, over 80 lbs. gone forever since the last of Oct. when she had her surgery.
God Bless you all,
I so love my brothers/sisters in Christ, wherever in the world they maybe. I appreciate them so much, thank you Lord Jesus

Kim,
Praising God with you for this new chance at insurance approval!!!
How wonderful! I can imagine your face when you heard your coworker make that remark: Your eyes probably got real big, followed by a smile that no one could wipe off!
Everything is in God's timing. Who knows what would have or could have happened if you would have self paid to get the lap band done last year. I believe that God calls us to be faithful to His commandments and inturn He will be faithful to bless us.
Malachi 3:10 reads "Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this," Says the Lord of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it."
I know that if you continue to walk in the will of God for your life, He will continue opening windows you never dreamed possible.
Love,
Dawn
