Urgent Need Imput on Barix Clinic

Hi Everyone, If Anyone is from NJ or Pa and has had there surgery done at the Barix Clinic or is going to have it done there I need your input asap. The surgeon I am supposed to go to is really good but the feedback from the hosptial he uses are HORRIBLE and I am in no way willing to put myself through that. My husband is concerned that the Barix Clinic is like a puppy mill for RYN, however I feel that it is a specialty for us. I need any and all imput so I can make a judgement call before my consult appt. so I can contact the Barix Clinic and get in or look for a new surgeon somewhere else. Thanks so much Trish

Trish, I'm from NJ and I didn't even know we had a Barix Clinic. What part of NJ are you? Dawn

Hi Trish I had a Lap Rny at the Barix clinic in Ypsilanti MI, which is just outside Detroit. My surgery was Dec. 7th 2005 and was performed by Dr. David Kam. I could not reccomend a better place than Barix. When I had my surgery there were 6 patients on the floor and 4 or 5 nurses plus resperatory therapists and nursing assistants. I am sure that Barix has the same standards in NJ or PA. Hope this helps. Randy Smith
