You Are God's Idea, God's Choice, God's Creation

YOU ARE GOD'S IDEA, GOD'S CHOICE, GOD'S CREATION How does a designer work? I've never watched a fashion designer create a garment but I suspect the process is exactly like that of any other person who creates something that hasn't existed before. The first step in the process is an idea. The designer no doubt "sees" with his mind's eye what his design will look like. He may then sketch out that design or start to work with fabrics to fold and drape them to bring his design to life. You were created in the mind of God before you were put into a womb. You were God's idea. Leah was God's idea before she was even Laban's daughter, or Rachel's sister, or Jacob's wife. Her very definition and identity came from God. And so does your identity. You are God's idea, God's choice, God's creation. And God is the One who made you for a specific time and place on this earth. You aren't an accident, a mistake, an error, an incident, or a mishap. You were fashioned and made by Elohim - the Lord God Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. You were meticulously and distinctly made by the Master. There are many people today who grew up hearing that they weren't wanted by their parents. They were told that they were the result of a "careless moment." If you have been told that, you need to take this position: I disagree. Your parents may have been careless, but God was very careful. You weren't born because of something your parents did or didn't do. You were born because of something that God did in your mother's womb. He is the One who caused you to be born. He is the One who allowed that one sperm cell to enter that one egg cell for life to begin. He is the one who mixed together the genes of your mother and the genes of your father to give you an identity that is distinctly different from that of either your mother or father! He is the one who breathed life into you and caused you to come into being. Your mother and your father didn't create you. God created you. Your mother and father set up a situation in which God had the prerogative to create or not to create. They set up a cir****tance in which God had the option to make you then or to wait and make you at another moment in time. But it is God who made you. You are His creation. And God doesn't make mistakes. He doesn't err. He doesn't have mishaps or incidents or accidents. God creates only what He wants to create. You can' force the hand of God. You can't demand that God create when He doesn't want to create. he is who He is---and He made you to be who he wanted on the earth as His person in a particular time and place to do a particular job. God could have put you into any body, of any age, and of any race, at any time, in any place that He chose. His idea for you, however, was that you be put precisely into your mother's body, and that you emerge at a designated hour and day and year in a specific location. He held back His idea of you "for such a time as this." He brought you into this world through a specific set of situations and cir****tances, and then He raised you up through another set of specific situations and cir****tances, for one great purpose - to complete His purpose and reflect His glory. It doesn't matter if you were conceived during an act of date rape and born to a welfare mother who had thirteen other children by ten different men. God is the one who ordained and authorized your birth. He created you for His purposes and His glory. He didn't allow you to be aborted or to be miscarried. He didn't allow you to be stillborn or to die of crib death. He didn't allow any number of childhood accidents or diseases to take you out. He intended from the very first moment that He had the idea for you that you should live and participate in His plan and accomplish His purposes. He never took His hand off your life. It doesn't matter if you were abused as a child. God brought you through that experience alive and He is the One who kept you from losing your sanity. He is the One who brought you to an understanding of Jesus Christ as your Savior and raised you up so that you could still fulfill His purposes and reflect His glory in spite of every effort the devil made against you to destroy you, diminish you, defame you, or discourage you. The fact is.if you hadn't gone through every thing that you have gone through, you wouldn't be the person you are today. And God knows that! He has been in the process of creating you, fashioning you, molding you, designing you, refining you, and perfecting you since the moment before the foundations of the earth when He first thought of you! He gave you your own personality, your own abilities, your own set of spiritual gifts, and your own identity in Christ so that you and you alone might praise the way you praise, give what you give, minister like you minister, and love like you love. Oh yes! When God thought of you, He had a good idea. You are God's idea. And it is impossible for God to have anything but a good idea. --by T. D. Jakes "You made all the delicate, innerparts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb. ... You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed." Psalm 139:13,15

Annette~ BEAUTIFUL!! I needed to hear that. My friend and I are both wives of ministers and we are both struggling with the moral rights of birth control. That passage really spoke to me. Thank you. Love, Dawn
