read the memorial page, scared me and ideas.
Hi Regina. Reading that scares everyone. So does reading a lot of articles that family and friends are going to probably show you. Seems everyone only shows you the bad articles. But the risks of not having surgery is scary for some too. Have you read all the AWESOME stories? Aren't they beautiful. People experiencing the best years of their life. They were scared too.
If someone you trusted very much said, "fall backwards and I'll catch you", you'd do it, wouldn't you? And you would because there's not a doubt in your mind that they will not let you fall. And if three people said, "my mom tried that died", would it make you stop trusting the one that is going to catch you?
You're going to have to trust God if you believe this is His will for you. Pray about it. Ask Him if it is His will. Don't be afraid. Just be sure. Then trust.
peace,
Glenn
Wow. Glenn gave a powerful response. I sat down one day and read every single one. It took hours. But I did it to educate myself. The reality IS that some people do die from this. But my famous quote that I tell people is, "I would rather die trying to better myself than die because I did nothing." In all honesty, I would love to open my eyes and see my Savior standing with His nail scared hands streched out to hold me. I know my family would miss me. I can't say if I would miss them. The bible says that EVERY tear will be wiped away. If I had a choice OF COURSE I want to live, but being a Christian gives me so much peace about everything else. Another thing I have come to grips is that God has an appointed time that He is going to take me home. If it is on Jan 16, 2006 it doesn't matter if I have that surgery or not, I'm going home that day one way or another.

Dawn
Peg, I hope you're right!! I can't wait!! I just got home from Texas Roadhouse and had my last big meal. I vowed that next week I will be careful to get in my protein, calcium, and multivitamins. I am also going to drink more water and eat less food. I read that lossing only a few pounds before surgery will make a huge differece for the doctor.
I'm going to post sometime next weekend what my number and stuff is.
Love,
Dawn
Hi Regina. You're right. There are a lot of scary things out there. I made it through 2 surgeries with many complications because it just wasn't my time to go be with the Lord. Like the song goes, "Trust and obey, for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus than to trust and obey." Hope to see you on the loser's side.
Love,
Peg
