Hey everyone... I had my filter placed yesterday and all went well. It was a fairly smooth process as as the anesthelogist (sp?) said...they gave me "don't give a hoot" medicine . And, I didn't give a hoot about what was going on in there. I was awake for the whole thing but didn't care. Today I am a little sore, but I am ok. REQUEST!!!! I will not have access to the internet after I get out of surgery or at home so I want someone to be able to communicate on my behalf. Can one of you wonderful people agree to be an angel for me and call to see how I am doing and report back for me? It would be a blessing to me if one of you would do that. Thanks!!! --Kelly

Hi Kelly! I hope you get an angel soon! I will need one too. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Congratulations on your surgery! I know you've got to be excited. I will be praying that everything goes well! Probably a dumb question, but what exactly is a filter and what is it for? I haven't heard anyone talk about that yet. God Bless!!Candy

I think it is to stop any blood clots. I have a friend who has a family history of blood clots and her doctor put one in. I may be wrong, but I think that is what it is for. Kelly can correct me if I'm wrong. Shel

Kelly, If nobody else has already volunteered, I don't mind being your angel. You can just send me all the information to [email protected]. Shel
